Part 8 ♥

***The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.***

Elena's P.O.V.

The next days flew by. I had a few appointments with Dr. Sutherland in the hospital but the best of every day was the time I was with Louis. He tried to spend as much time as possible with me. My parents took him into their hearts really quickly. Sure, first they were a bit shocked that I didn't tell them about Louis but they soon realised that he was making me feeling so much better.

I went to school only every other day because I had to go to the hospital on the days when I wasn't at school. In the afternoon I was either with Louis alone or with him and all the other people. I know it's weird to say this was the best time of my life... but it actually was. I've never had such lovely people around me and I had never felt this kind of love before. Louis meant everything to me and I knew that he felt the same for me.

So two weeks flew by and it was the 4th of December - two days left until my birthday. It was evening and Louis was at mine to eat dinner with me and my parents. After the dinner I wanted to get into my room with Louis but when I asked him to come with me he smiled. "Go upstairs, darling. I'm following in a minute."

I was confused but then I shrugged and turned around to get into my room.

After about five minutes the door opened and I knew it was Louis. He laid down beside me on my bed. I was lying on my back staring at the ceiling. He turned to me trying to find out what I was thinking about. After a while I looked at him and a smile appeared on my face. He was the definition of perfection.

"So what are we going to do now?" I asked him because I knew he was planning something.

"Well, it's not that late yet. I thought we could go and visit Becca and Niall? Harry and Sophie will be there, too."

I nodded. "Yeah, why not."

He pulled me up from the bed and we went downstairs. He helped me to put on my coat - oh, what a gentleman he always was.

My mum smiled and said. "Bye, guys. Have fun", so I reckoned she knew about it. It was amazing how much she trusted Louis. Two months earlier she didn't even allow me to leave the house with a guy in the evening that easily.

Louis and I left the house and he soon grabbed my hand. It was really cold... I mean, it was December.

We walked to Harry's and when we arrived Sophie answered the door so we entered the house. His mum was in the kitchen and Louis pushed me gently into the kitchen and smiled. "Hey Anne! This is Elena."

Anne looked at me and a warm and friendly smile appeared on her face. "Hello dear, how are you?"

First I was a bit insecure but as soon as I noticed how lovely she was I became more comfortable. "I'm good thanks."

She looked at Louis. "Is there a special reason that Niall has brought his gui-"

Louis interrupted her. "Shhh", he grinned. "It's kind of a surprise."

She looked amused and smiled. "Oh okay, then go and surprise her."

She winked at me and I didn't know what they were talking about. Louis put an arm around my waist and leaded me upstairs.

We entered Harry's room and I saw Harry, Sophie and Becca listening to Niall who was playing the guitar. As soon as they noticed us Niall stopped playing.
