A man once told me a secret
Of a powerful ball of fire
We both set on a treacherous path
To seek the ball of fire
It sheds light in the dark
It brings life to the dead
But he warned me not to get much
Or it will consume you whole
I watched as he devoured the ball
Curious I was, I asked for some
He breathed fire into my soul
Awakening my senses, arousing my desires
I kissed his lips, hungry for more
The fire left him, but was burning in me
He abandoned when he saw me ruining
Being scorched was better than him leaving me
When I was all ashes he came back
He ventured every corner of the earth
To find me, the love of his life
At first I didn't trust him
How could someone who destroyed you bring you back from the dead?
I was scared, but I knew myself better
That his heart was the only one I want
Slowly I let him touch me again
From ashes to mold to flesh
He breathed the ball of fire into me
I had a beating heart once more
We held onto each other, afraid of getting lost
Again we went together on a journey
This time towards eternity
