Y/N POV

It's been a rough week after that night with the mission where we failed. I couldn't get B/N out of my mind and I wasn't allowed on a mission, so I've been keeping track of him. I got out of bed and walked over to my desk. There was a map of places where I have sighted B/N. I looked up at the other pictures I had taped up. There was one of my mother and a bunch of Dick. I couldn't get him out of my mind either. I fell in love with him. But, I doubt he would ever like me anyways. He probably likes someone else. I had school today so I got ready to go. I dressed in sweat pants and a F/C ( favorite color ) t-shirt, brushed my hair and teeth, grabbed my backpack and headed to school. On my way I spotted a man walking across the street talking on his phone. He didn't even pay attention to the sign that said stop. My legs took over my mind and I raced over to him as fast as I could. "Watch out!" I yelled at him while tackling him to the ground and out of the way of the zooming car. "What do you think you are doing? How dare you attack me like that?" He snapped at me. I got off my butt and held a hand to him to help him up. He smacked my hand away and got up on his own. "Don't touch me again or I will call the Police!" He yelled walking away. I stood there getting laughs from the crowd and being humiliated. *sigh* I walked away and got out of sight of the snickering people. "Why do I even try?" I asked myself. "Because it's the right thing to do. I know how that feels." A familiar male voice said. I jumped and got in a fighting stance. "Don't worry I don't bite." He said. "Dick? Oh... It's just you. Good. So... you saw the entire thing I'm guessing?" I asked him. "Yeah. Pretty heroic, I must say. Great job. I bet Robin and the other heroes and heroines out there would be proud of you." He told me with that smile of his. "I doubt that." I mumbled. We continued walking and got to school on time. We chatted part of the day when we had class together and the other classes I was really silent. During science class, the teacher left to grab some supplies from the office. The class erupted in voices. Friends were talking to friends and all. Dick and I turned to each other and talked about how science is so boring with our teacher. We laughed a lot until someone turned on the TV. It showed my team battling a bunch of villains. I slumped in my chair and pouted. I wanted to go so bad, but wasn't allowed due to my punishment. "What's wrong, Y/N?" Dick asked me. "Nothing... um... Just jealous that they get to be free and fight enemies. That's all." I lied to him. "Well it's not always fun you know. It can be dangerous at times." He told me. "Yeah, I know." I chuckled. "What happened to S/H/N! She was there last week and now she's gone!" A male voice complained. My head shot up at my name and I became much more interested in all of these conversations. "You're right. I haven't seen her in a while." A female voice agreed. The class started talking about the disappearance of the hero, S/H/N. I smirked and kept listening. "So what do you think of S/H/N, Y/N?" Someone asked me. "Umm... well she's cool... I guess..." I replied not thinking of what to say. "Come on tell us what you think!" Dick told me. He gave me that beautiful smile of his and I melted. "Fine. Well... I think she is a good heroine. She thinks of others first before herself and she loves to hear children happy. She's a good role model." I told them. "So true!" A voice yelled. The class talked again forgetting about me. "Nice speech. It almost sounded like you met her yourself." Dick said. "Yeah? Well I umm... I've seen her in person once rescuing a little girl." I told him. "But dude!" A male yelled. "S/H/N is like... super hot! Who wouldn't want to date her. She's got the perfect package." He yelled. Everyone laughed at his comment, and some agreed. I slumped in my chair blushing like a tomato. "Hey! That's no way to talk about S/H/N! She's our hero! She saves people to help not model her body! Plus she's probably in love with someone else like... Robin for instance." Dick said. I started laughing. Everyone looked at me like I was insane. I gulped and blushed again. "Sorry... umm... excuse me. I'm not feeling well. That's why I burst into laughter. I didn't get good sleep last night and... Umm... yeah" I explained really fast and ran out the door. I ran into the bathroom and shut a stall door. 'I'm such an idiot! But why would Dick say something like that? It was hilarious, yeah, but...' "So... like you know how I asked him out and all... well he fell for it and got me this beautiful bracelet! Look." A female voice said. I already know who it was. Jocelyn and her spawns. "It's so gorgeous! He fell for it alright!" One of the twins agreed. You can never tell which one is which from their voices. "Yup! But if only Dick could see me like that. And get me all the stuff I wanted! I love him so much! He's is definitely my soulmate!" Jocelyn dreamed. "But that Y/N is in the way. She gets closer and closer to him every minute. I think she might be falling for him as well. Girls, we need to embarrass her in front of Dick and maybe the entire school. Make him not want to be with her. Make her pay in pain of watching his rejection." She planned out! "Sounds evil! We like it!" The twins said at the same time. "Good! Then let's go. The smell in here is rotting my hair. And my hairstylist took hours doing it." Jocelyn complained while walking out the door. I waited a while for them to be completely gone and got out of the stall. 'I'll have to be careful not to give her anything she could use against me.' I walked over to the mirror and examined myself. "Would he really abandon me? Even if it weren't for embarrassment? *sigh* Who am I kidding? He wouldn't do that. We are best of friends! My only friend." I fixed myself up and walked out. I looked to make sure the coast was clear of the demon and walked to my locker. I opened it and grabbed the books I needed for the next class. On my locker door was a picture I had of Dick and I. I smiled at the picture and looked over to see another picture of my family without my dad. He was always too busy for pictures back then. I lifted the photo to show my picture of the team first day on the team. I was in the middle and everyone was having fun. I smiled even brighter and was startled by a voice. "Are you doing ok?" He asked. I jumped and let go of the picture hiding it. "Dick! Don't scare me like that! Remember that time I gave you a bloody nose? Well... I don't want that happening again." I scolded Dick. "You always know it's me, huh. Well... sorry for scaring you. I was just wondering if you were alright from earlier." He explained. "Yeah. I'm fine. Don't worry. I was just getting my stuff for the next class." I told him and smiled. "Who's that?" He asked. I looked to where he was looking to find my mom, brother, and I. "Oh... umm... That's my mom, brother, and I. I was six then. My brother was nine." I explained. "What's their names?" He questioned. "Umm... My mother's name is... M/N ( mother's name ), and my brother's name is B/N." I told him. "Well... I would like to meet them sometime." Dick exclaimed. "Yeah. Sure." I replied. I fake smiled at him and closed my locker. "Come on. We don't want to be late to class, do we?" I asked. "No. I guess not." He chuckled. And from that we ran to class because the bell was literally about to ring.
