Chapter 33

Nisha POV:
After reaching home and cleaning up all the stuff it became late night and everyone was tired.Harry took Meera's guest room and Kimi left leaving me alone with Seb.He told me that he wanted to help me with things.

"So I'm sorry,I did not mean to suddenly hug you like I did" he fluffed the couch pillows and I looked at him for the first time after the guests left.

"I.... You don't need to be actually. For once,I felt the warmth that I have lost all these years.I must be the one saying sorry if you were too uncomfortable, never mind I was stupid to lean into you" I shook my head and cleaned the coffee table.It was like as if pigs invaded our table.

"I'm just trying... To know, trust you" he ran a hand through his sandy blonde hair and sighed.

"I know you will some day and I never give up on you" I felt tears rushing to my eyes but was strong enough to control them .

"So its a goodnight then" he stood up from my couch and opened the door.I followed him and gave him a reassuring smile that I was fine.

"Yea,see you tomorrow" I waved at him as he closed his apartment door.That feel when he held me still gave me goosebumps. I changed my dress and sat on the couch trying to forget what happened today.$It was actually an instinct of the moment and not because he loves you "I coaxed myself but groaned loudly when I failed.I couldn't help but continuously think about what happened today.

After half an hour of keeping myself in different positions, I decided to check on Mia who was still awake rolling in her bed.

I tucked Mia into her bed and stroked her curls to which she let out a hum. She was to knackered to hear a bed time story but was awake enough to notice my presence near her.

"Why won't daddy sleep with Mia?" She looked at me and asked in a sleepy voice.

"He has got his own home right? And poor daddy he must be tired like you.He had a long day with us remember?" I told her softly but she shook her head.

"Want daddy ma,can't sleep" she pouted at me and I pulled her to the lap"Bug,its twelve in the night,Daddy would've slept by now."I tried to convince her but she started to whimper.

"Babe listen to mum please, dad also will be tired as you are right? Maybe all the three of us can go to our holiday home tomorrow? Does that sound good?" I tried again but then she started to cry loudly. My head was pounding hard and I had no other way but call him. But in midnight? What will he think? Within five minutes she was throwing all her toys on the floor. I took my phone and dialed Seb. He did not pick up.

"See daddy did not pick up. He must be sleeping Mia" I sighed at her but she did not stop her crying."Okay fine. Stay here and I'll go get him. No coming out with me "I placed a kiss on her forehead and put my slippers.

" I'll be back "I shut my door and stood in front of their doorstep. I knocked the door hard. No response, poor soul must be sleeping.

Three more knocks and I heard some shuffling on the door" please come fast "I whined at the door and it swung open. Just miss, or I would have been knocked down.

" What do you want in this ungodly hour? "Seb whined at me as he rubbed his eyes squinting at me.

" It's Mia, she wants to see you. She's crying my ears out and I have a killer headache just come with me please "I pulled him with me without even allowing  him to speak.I know it was rude but without him Mia will not let me sleep.

He strutted into my flat and went to Mia's room to see her crying but she had lowered her sound,thank goodness. When she saw Seb she pounced on him like a koala bear.

" Dawwdy...Mia mish you"She crushed him and I let out a sigh."Daddy did not go anywhere Mia look he is here...I did not leave you and I will never buggie"He cooed at him and patted her head.

Now I can go to sleep peacefully.I sat on the recliner and closed my eyes but I heard another whimper.

"Mum...come to me pwease.I wan sleep daddy and you" she made grabby hands and I looked at Seb.He smiled fondly at Mia and shook his head.

"Mia,you asked for daddy and now he is here.Go to sleep please.I will just sleep here" I pointed to the recliner but she pouted"pwease"

I looked at Seb and mouthed "no problem?" He shook his head and patted on the empty space near Mia.I sat on the other side and she kissed both of us.

"Love you mummy daddy" she mumbled and both of us gave her a kiss on the forehead.Within ten minutes she was fast asleep cuddling Seb.

"I'm really sorry again. She wan-" he held my hand and I felt goosebumps."Stop saying sorry will you" he chuckled."Now go to sleep.You worked hard today"

"Gnight" I switched off the side lamp and turned the other side but I wasnt able to sleep.I was clearly worried about Mia.What if he leaves next year and I'm left all alone with her?She gets attached to people fast and she can't survive without Seb now.He practically spends half a day with her and both of them share a very special bond.

"Just go to sleep Nish,I could hear you shuffling. Whatever it is we can talk in the morning" My eyes widened when he found out I wasn't sleeping.

"Ohh....yea okay" I whispered at him and closed my eyes.Sleep took away all my thoughts and I drifted into peaceful sleep.

The next morning I woke up with a hand on my nose.I opened my eyes and saw that it was Mia's hands.I tried to get up but was pulled down .I looked down to see that Seb's hand was around my waist and his legs were on mine clutching both of us tightly.I did not have any strength to push him away as his hands tightened when I put them away.I should have remembered the fact that he was a cuddler.So I went back to sleep after checking my phone.

I woke up again when there was a loud knock in the door and I pushed both of their hands and got up.I went to the door and opened it to see Kimi standing there confused.

"Do you know where is Seb??" He asked and I yawned at him,what a great response.

"He is here...came midnight coz Mia was crying". I pulled my hair back to a pony and opened the door wide." You want to come inside? "I asked and he shook his head.He flopped on the couch going through the magazines.

" Can I wake him up? "I asked him and he laughed" Are you crazy? He will cause a bloody earthquake if you do that"

"Then make yourself home! I'll be back after freshening up" he saluted at me and I went to brush my teeth.That's when I heard another voice shouting into my house.

I washed my face and saw Harry and Kimi thumb wrestling.When I took a closer look they were fighting for 100 bucks. For what?

"I told you they would stay together" Harry piled on him but Kimi bit his hand."Oww you are a bloody carnivore"Harry shook his hand and my eyes widened. Stay together?

"Guys shut up,you are disturbing my sleep here" Seb came out from Mia's room letting out a growl. "Harry tickle him,he'll keep his mouth shut" he flopped on the other side of the couch.

"What stupid bet was that?" I asked them as both of them gave me a sheepish smile.

"I told Kimster Hamster here that you both would be together last night and I won the bet" He screeched and I placed my hand close to my ears.

"What the-" Seb kicked Kimi from the couch and tickled him hard."you bastard"he poked him hard on his stomach and Harry shouted "Dog pile" and fell on both of them.For a minute I forgot all my worries and looked at those mentally affected ducks.
