Izzy's POV

"What did that kiss mean to you?"

I didn't reply. I just thought about it. What did it mean to me? I ask myself, and ponder about it. I bit my bottom lip, and looked at the ground, then back up at Adam. "I..."

"It..."

"Uh..."

I don't know what to say honestly. Should I say it meant everything to me? That would give out straight away my feelings. But say that it means nothing... What if Adam liked me back? Wouldn't I be hurting his feelings?

Why does love have to be so tricky?

"Well?" Adam asks a bit impatient. "I..."

"I don't know which side I want to say... It's either yes it meant everything to me... or... no it meant nothing to me... and one feeling us stronger than the other and I don't want to hurt your feelings and--"

"Okay. You're getting tooo worked up about this question." Adam chuckles, and lifts my chin so I'm looking into his eyes. "Tell me which one you feel is stronger." Adam says. "Um... the one that says the kiss meant everything to me....?" I say with a tint of a question. Adam smiles, "Good."

"You're not mad at me?" I ask.

"Nah. You're fine sugarcube." Adam smiles. I smile. "Can we go back inside now?" I ask.

"Actually. No. I have something to tell you." Adam says. "What is it?"

"Griffin and Nikki want you to come back to GriffinBlaze."

"That's actually great news! But I'll have to ask my father..." I say. "I know that." Adam said. "That's why I'm telling you." He says. I smile slightly and look up at him. "So... you're friends with a Witch?" I ask. Adam shrugs, "It's not that big of a deal." He says. "Do you know her parents?" I ask.

"Uh... this witch that protects the Sacred Forest named Lucinda... and a guy named Travis." Adam says. "I never met her father. But I met her mother a few times." Adam says.

"Ah."

"Sooo.... About your mother... what was she like?" Adam asks. "Okay. We're out in plainsite of Arrea. Is this the best place to talk about that?" I ask. "Heheheh... right." Adam says.

I turn to go back inside when Adam pulls me to look at him. "So... does this mean we're a thing?"

"Where did that question appear from?" I ask. Adam shrugs, "Just a question." He says.

I shrug "Only if you want." I say. "Uh... then I guess so?" Adam says.

"Really?!" I ask, wide eyed.

"Yeah. You did say if I wanted to." Adam says with a smile. "I guess I did say that much..." I smile, and grab his hand, "Come on. Let's go inside." I say.

A very subtle way to be someone's girlfriend Izzy. Gg. I tell myself and the two of us walk into the house and look from Anna to Jax. They're in a small arguement.

"Ahem. Anna. Are you argueing with a five year old?" I ask with a chuckle, Anna shakes her head and whistles like she did nothing. "Nah. I wasn't." She says nochalantly. "Ah. Okay. Suuure." I smirk and glance at Jax. "Do you know where dad is?" I ask.

All the sudden I hear a loud bang, followed by an angry yell, and someone slamming the door. Angelica storms down the stairs and shoves between Adam and I. "This is all your fault Isolde!" She hisses, and storms out of the house, slamming the door behind her.

I look at Adam, then up the stairs in confusion. "Come on." I say and quickly run upstairs, voices are echoing from one certain door as I open it. Once I open if I see Xander, his hands in fists, sitting at his desk as if he's trying to keep his composure. "Vuk, Angelica, and Kai will be going with Isolde back to GriffinBlaze." He says with strain to his voice. "With all due respect sir... But why are the three of us going to that petty village GriffinBlaze?" Kai asks.

He's sprawled out on a couch, swinging his scythe almost to the point where it touches the ground. The tip of it pokes Therese. "Hey! Watch where you swing that thing!" She hisses. Kai rolls his eyes.

Xander gets up angrily and bangs his fists on the table. "Because GriffinBlaze has many of the remaining descendants and I want them under supervisio--" He seems to notice that I'm here. "Ah. Isolde. How are you?" He asks and walks over to Adam and I. "And who's your..." Xander looks into Adam's eyes.

"Get him out of my village! He's a Shadow Knight! Get him out of here!" Xander yells. They all look at us, and I move in front of Adam and grab his hand.

"You can't do that father." I say with a strong tone in my voice. "Why not?" Xander asks. "Because... He's my... bo-- guard." I quickly replace. My words.

"Hmph. Fine. But I'm watching you Adam. One kill and you're a dead man." Xander hisses. Adam nods his understanding. My grip becomes tighter as I look at the others. They stopped looking at us and were now all glaring at each other.

They were all focusing their glares on Vuk and Kai. I looked at them, and then at my father. "What's going on?" I ask. "Vuk, Angelica, and Kai are going with you back to GriffinBlaze." He says.

"Why? In can look after myself." I retort. "There are some people... who can't." Xander says. I raise an eyebrow, but I don't give an answer. "Okay! Everyone who's going might as well go now to get there early!" He yells. He turns to Adam and I. "And if your Shadow Buddy here makes one wrong move... I will not hesitate to slit his throat." Xander hisses.

"Sorry sir. But You're talking to a Shadow Knight... and we're pretty much immortal." Adam says. I chuckle, and Xander glared at the both of us before turning and walking back to his desk.

"The rest of you protect the relics." Xander says. The other jury members nod, and Vuk and Kai walk over to us. "So. I see you got yourself a boyfriend Iz." He says. I glare at him, "Shut up." I mutter Adam chuckled. "Hello Kai." He says. Kai gives Adam a nod of aknowledgement before he shoves past us and down the stairs. "Here, Adam. Wear this. It'll shade your eyes." Kai says as we get to the bottom the stairs.

Kai throws Adam one of the Jury of Nine capes, it's a bright red, but the hood part that's gray has a taint of maroon. "Thanks." Adam mutters and puts the cape on. He slides his arms through the arm holes (it's like a cape-jacket with short sleeves) and covers his head with the hood. "We might as well throw our hoods on as well." Vuk said. He puts on his hood, which is almost the same tone of gray as his hair, and I struggle to get my ears through the holes in my hood but eventually I do. Kai throws his hood on, and grabs his scythe then we walk out of the house. I walk after Kai, Vuk walks behind Adam. "Angelica should be at the gates by now. She was pretty pissed."

"I thought you were cold and mean." I tell Kai. "You're seeing the softer side of me." Kai says. "Bipolar." I mutter. "Shut up." Kai hisses. I chuckle and follow him.
