Before Adam's death
Griffin's POVI walked past the gates, I didn't have a shield... but I had a sword. And that would have to be enough. Plus I had my armor so...
I kept walking to the portal. Why I wanted to go there is a mystery... even to me. But I felt like I would be able to find the solution to my problems here. I kept walking in the.Nether until I found the Shadow Knight's castle. And...
Lord Xander?! I widened my.eyes. What was Isolde's father doing here? I frowned and ducked behind a rock so he wouldn't see me. However... he did.
And he called me out. I was straining myself not to go up to him and talk to him. See what he wanted. But, I gave in and walked over. He patted my back as if he had known me for eight years and was his best friend. I clenched my teeth when.he patted my back. "What d'ya want?" I snapped.
"Oh-- just wanted to give you some information on your second in command." Xander smirked, his hand on my shoulder. "What?" I asked, eager to use anything that would turn Isolde against Adam... why would I do and think such things? Damn jealousy!
"Adam hasn't had a clean slip over his years..." Xander began. "I mean, who would have a clean slip when he tortured and murdered a child." Xander said briskly. "H-he what?!" I widened my eyes. Tortured a child?! That's horrible! What person in their right mind would do such a thing?! I stared at Xander in horror. "You don't believe me?" Xander asked, smirking. "Frankly, no. I don't. Adam would never do such things." I exclaimed. Even though he killed his best friend to become a shadow knight...
Maybe... he did? I shake my head. Xander obviously could tell that I was deciding if I should believe him or not. Xander smirked and let his arm drop to his side. "Alright. What else?" I mutter, glancing around. "Well~ He's coming after you to murder you since you ruined his plans." Xander said, standing up right. "W-what plans?" I asked, worried. "Well... since you asked..." Xander galnced down at me. "He planned to kill you, Isolde, and the village in your sleep tonight." Xander said. I wasn't thinking of how Xander knew this, but... I just reacted. "He'll never touch her!" I growl. "Ah, that's why... you must give him what he deserves..." Xander pulls out a sword from it's sheath. I never noticed that until now. He held it out to me.
I took the hilt of the sword in my hands and looked over it, the blue sheek that was like mist swirling on the mlade told me it was enchanted. The blade was a silvery white, and the hilt was silver. It had beautiful engraving upon it. I stared at it before frowning. "You... want me to kill my friend? My brother-in-arms?" I asked, frowning. "Well, it's either that or he kills you all." Xander summed up, propping.himself up on a rock. I stared at the sword before sighing. What choice did I have?
I nod, "Alright." I say and look around. "I can do this..." I muttered under my breath. I walked around to get the feeling of the sword in my hands, slashing the air with it and trying to be a good swordsman while I was doing this. That's when I hear the familiar voice of my (now former) brother-in-arms. I turn around with a small smirk. "Hello, friend." I say darkly.
"Hey Griffin, I came to retrieve you..." Adam frowne md and stared at the ground before turning his eyes to me. "How could you?" He asked, red eyes wide. He wasn't paying attention to the bright white sword in my hands. "Huh?" I frowned, confused. "You stole her, Griffin!" Adam shouted. "You stole her from me!" Adam exclaimed through a ragged breath. "Who...?" I asked cautiously. "Isolde!' Adam exclaimed. "Liar!" I lashed the sword out at him. "You're just trying to get on my good side-- I always knew you were trouble." I growled. Adam jumped back, eyes wide. "What're you talking about I've been nothing but loyal to you..." He mumbled. "And I'm not lying!" Adam exclaimed. He refused to draw his dword, however his hand hovered over his sword's hilt.
"I knew I could never trust a shadow knight!" I snarled, lashing the sword at him once more. "What are you talking about?!" Adam exclaimed, eyes wide. The sword hit his hand, and there was a suddent light as Adam soon stood there in his shadow knight form...
Adam growled, his sword wad much larger now. I dodged, something activated as I blocked his attack with my sword. I was in blue and yellow armor now. "You have Edmund's relic!" Adam exclaimed. I dodged to the side and lashed once more, hitting his back. Adam screamed. I had found a gap between the metal plates, and blood steadily began to flow. Adam turned sharply and lashed out with his sword. His sword hit my arm where there was chainmail. It punctured through the chainmail and I screamed in pain, and tridd my hardest not to hold the throbbing shoulder. I growled.
"You monster!" I yelled, running forward with newly found energy. I hopped behind him and stabbed his back forcefully just as he stabbed my side. I screamed loudly, pain flooding through my body... And soon the shadow knight's sword was gone. Adam was back to his original state, tears running from his eyes. Was he crying from the pain? I had pain felt tears falling from my cheeks. He collapsed, my sword still in his back. I grabbed it, and pulled the sword out. Adam screamed in agony. "You deserved that, you monster. Torturing a child to death! How could you?!" I exclaimed, stabbing him with the sword again. He screamed and then... silence... I stared at him with a look of hatred on my face. "Rot in hell, Adam." I snarled before staggering, slowly making my way back to the portal. Once out of the portal I collapsed. Angelica and Nikki were standing there... And they took me to the doctor...
