Kai POV

I smiled at Isolde with a nod before getting up off of the couch and moving around. I rarely ever wore my armor now and days... I had resigned from the Jury of Nine a week ago, however it would take a while for me to finish the many papers in order to confirm it. I sighed and walked up the staircase before going to my 'office' and sitting down. I grabbed a quill and took the ink out and began to write. As I wrote, I could hear Isolde sobbing from downstairs. Probably about Adam... Again.

She's been here for a week. I thought she's be over him by now. Guess I was wrong. She flinched and teared up even at the mention of him. And when her friend Nikki came over to visit, she teared up. She seems to see Adam in everyone she sees... I feel kinda sorry for her. But can't she just get over it? For Irene's sake! I barely been able to sleep at all this past week. It's horrible.

I just can't wait 'till this is over...

I blink heavy eyes as I stare at the words on the roll of parchment. I continue to fill everything out, my handwriting was worse from my sleepyness. I sigh and turn my head to stare at the door. The sobbing hardly ever stopped now and days...

I kept writing, these were some of my last papers. I had to argue with Lord Xander so I could keep my weapons and house, he wanted Isolde to live with him. However, I objected. And with the vote of the rest of the jury, Lord Xander complied and gave permission for me to keep my weapons, house, and Isolde to live at my house for the time being. I would have been very angry if he hadn't let me keep my scythe at the very least. I had enchanted it myself-- ended up passing out do to fatigue.

I continued to write 'I, Kai Leon Taylor, understand that I will not be able to have custody of my armor. And must give it to Lord Xander in two weeks time.'

I continued to write, and when I was finished, I felt relieved. I signed at the bottom of the paper and rolled it up. I tied a ribbon around it along with a seal. A small nessenger owl was perched at my window, waiting. Every town has a different kind of bird to carry mail. Here, in Areea village, we happen to use owls. In GriffinBlaze they use eagles. Siani uses Ravens and so on.

I walk over to the owl and grab a small treat and give it to him as payment. He gulps it down and opens his mouth, waiting for the mail. I lifted the rolled up parchment to him and he clamped his beak on it before flying out of the window. "To Lord Xander, Hoot!" I called to the small owl. I walked towards the door. It was dark out, and I needed to make sure Isolde was going to bed soon.

I headed down the ladder and walked over towards the main room. When I stepped foot into the room, I was immediatly greeted with sobs. I frowned, and tapped my foot on the stone floor. Isolde gave a sniffle before attempting to stop her sobs. "Isolde-- it's been over a week. Get over it." I growled, walking over to the couch. "S-Sorry I... What happened to the nice Kai?!" Isolde exclaimed. I chuckled, "Sorry-- I'm tiered. I'm even more grumpy when I'm tiered. Anyways. We're going to visit Anna tomorrow to tell her about everything... she still doesn't know what happened..." I said softly and place a hand on Isolde's shoulder. "I know it'll be hard to see her and tell her-- but I can't tell her... she won't believe me. But she'll believe you. So... you should get some rest tonight." I said and turn to go back up the ladder and to my room.

I heard quiet crying as Isolde went to her room. That girl was devastated-- well... I suppose that's obviously gonna happen... She did loose her lover... Her second lover at that. I chuckled as I fell onto the bed, my window open and Hoot's cage open, ready for the owl's return.

When I was Isolde's lover... I didn't treat her extreamly well. I was young-- and said to be the academy's 'playboy' which I probably was. So when Isolde got attatched firmly to me... I threw her away... And went to the next girl. But then again, we were in our teens and we were very naive.

I ran a hand through my hair before turning my head to look out the window. Hoot probably wouldn't return for a while.

So, I fell asleep.
