I rubbed my eyes, which were red and puffy from the night before as I entered Daryl's room, and to my surprise I found Negan. I frowned as he turned to face me, confused as to why he was there. "Ruthie, I'm glad you're here. I was just talking to Mr. Dixon about his group." he informed me, and with a nod I closed the door.

He motioned for me to come over, giving me a smile as I moved closer before reaching out and wrapping his arm around my waist, pulling me against his side. "I see the two of you have become good friends, am I right?" he asked and I nodded slightly, unsure where he was going with this, and he chuckled.

"I think it's good; you need friends....can't be stuck waiting for me," he said casually before leaning in to kiss my neck, and I let out a gasp eyes wide as I looked to Daryl, who's expression was hard and unreadable.

"Negan, not in front of your guest." I blushed pushing him away gently, and the look he gave me showed that he was not happy with what I'd just done. "I expect you to meet with me in two hours. Wear less clothing," he demanded softly before heading out, and I looked down ashamed by his words. "I'm sorry for that. Maybe I should go-"

"No...stay," Daryl interrupted, almost pleading with me, and when I looked into his eyes I saw fear. Though it wasn't fear for himself, no, but for me.
