Ava ran up the stairs and grabbed my arm and we ran into the school.
"Girl, did you do the homework for Mr. Kaliom? I had so much to do last night that I just totally forgot!"
"I think you mean you were on the phone all night and then went to bed." I laugh and hand her the copy I had made in her hand writing.
"Nice penmanship!" She winked.
"Would be better if you didn't write so sloppy."
"I can't help it that you write purdier than me!"
"Yeah you could. But anyways I gotta head out got Spanish this morning...You riding with me and Kaleb to the house to get ready for tonight? Kaleb was a orphan that my parents found when he and I were seven we took him in and he became Ava and my friend. He was really a year older than Ava and I but he had never really been to school so Momma homeschooled him through first and secon grade and then out him in third with me and Ava. He completed our little group.
"Duh! Gotta have your help getting ready today gotta find my mate!" She sqealed in her unnaturally high voice.
"Your so crazy." I squealed right back as I laughed.
we then parted way and I met up with Kaleba and we walked to class and chatted about tonight. We had some fun in there and then when that class was over he headed the opposite directions. The day actually passed fairly quickly to my surprise. Kaleb and I met up out by his car and pilled our stuffin the back and headed to the cheer gym to pick up Ava. Avan threw her stuff in the back and crawed into the little green El Camino.
"Hey Kaleb."
"Hey Ava. You girls ready for tonight? Were gonna have some fun."
"I'm ready I will turn eighteeen at ten tonight and hope to meet my mate tonight!!" Ava was squeling again.
"Well Myra is going to be eighteen at three tomorrow morning. Maybe she will meet hers first!" Kaleb poked me with his elbow as he said it.'
"Ohh I hope so then we can be happy together."
"Howbout maybe you will meet your mate Kaleb! Mom and Dad are ready for you ro settle down with a mate."
"Oh not me mates just dont hold apeal for me!"
"Me either." I murner so low they can't hear me as we pull up to our house and all run inside for snack before we get ready for the crazy night ahead. Too bad none of us know how crazy it will be.
