Ruth River Silverstone is a girl who tries changing everything so that she can forget her past and live a better life. On the road of life, she finds a best friend and meets some people who would change her life.
Her life is hard though, always was...
Okay so this is the first time ever that Im trying to write a story, so, comment to give me ideas on my grammar and how the story can go ;) thanks.
The picture below is Katherine Rhayne Swanson's image, potrayed by someone, although I wish I could find her name.

Rue turns around as someone shouts her name.
"Ruth Silverstone, is that you?" says a petite girl around 19 years old with shoulder length crimson red hair, walking towards her. She wears a short sleeved top and a skirt, revealing her legs that are perfectly tanned. 'God... this smells like trouble.' Rue thought as she inclines her head nodding a yes.

"I am supposed to bring you to our room, so here we go! Do you need some help with your luggage? They look really heavy." she says with a smile.
"You're my roommate?" Rue is surprised at how someone could be so friendly.
She guesses that she shouldn't judge the girl by her looks. They say success comes with a good start and this looks like a great start in her new semester here, in a different campus. It seems that she could finally settle down after what happened last summer. She had to exchange her campus from Seattle to Illinois so suddenly and she misses so many of her old friends.
"Yep. Katherine Swanson here." She shakes her hand with Rue, "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too, Katherine." Rue gladly accepts her handshake.
"Let's get going, and by the way, call me Kate." Her phone rings before Rue can say okay.
"Alrighty. I'm just showing the way to a newbie here. Don't worry, I'll be fine. Okay. Sure, see you soon!"
Rue wonders who that was. 'Her boyfriend? She sure looks hot enough to have a dozen boys after her.'she thought.
When the phone call was settled, "Give me that bag of yours. Oww its heavy... why do you bring so many... books or stones?" Kate teases Rue.
"Books." Rue smiles, handing the bag over.
"We're going to be at Block C, Room 22. Your bed is on the right, and open the windows if you like, the view is pretty good. You're lucky to have allocated a nice room with a nice roommate. Our neighbors are really noisy though, just don't bother about them and do your own stuff. Peace is important." Kate chirps all the way to their room.
"Peace huh?" Rue tries to joke. "I think the first one to come and find us for trouble would be them, saying that Kate here is a non-stop boiling kettle."
Kate laughs and Rue takes it as a good sign as she knows full well that she is bad at joking around.
"Ruth you're so lame. Am I even laughing at your not-so-funny jokes? No offense." Kate winks at her.
"None taken." Rue replies and they both crack up.
"Anyway, Kate, call me Rue." Rue adds after their laughter ends.
"Why did you never mention that before?" Kate says as she fishes out the key to their room.
"Guess I forgot." Rue is relaxing now. She feels happy as she thinks she has found a good friend for at least this semester.
"Seriously? Who forgets their own nickname? Are you old?" Jests Kate.
"No I'm definitely not." Rue smiles as Kate gives her a copy of the same room key and opens the door.
It is a new nickname for her, actually, as she needs it in her new life. Rue doesn't want to be known by the name Ruth anymore as it relates too much with her past. Besides, Rue is a much prettier name and it might suit her. She just forgets it from time to time. It's okay, she chides herself. She'll get use to it soon. Luckily Kate doesn't seem to notice.
"Pretty, right?" Kate stands by the door, showing the full view of their room to Rue.
