Chaol crossed the distance between them in a flash, held her shoulders and brushed his lips against hers, startling her.
Rue could feel the intensity of his lips, and at first, she tried to push him away, but eventually his persistence made her soften and she let him in, moving her lips with his, tasting his minty breath. As their kiss deepened, she encircled her arms around his neck, while he puts his hands around her waist, pulling her closer. Everything felt so right, and she couldn't get enough of him. So this is how her first kiss felt like.
Soon, they broke away, gasping for breath.
She hugged him before he could say anything, saying, "Thanks."
Everything went wrong after the hug.
