"Why are you so serious?"asks Kate.
"You don't know why?"replies Rue with another question.
"I guess its because your name is Sirius Black!" Kate jests.
"Oh my God... I thought no one I meet will ever be in the Harry Potter fandom!!" Rue laughs.
"So did I, until I saw your books and know that you're a bookworm." Kate smiles. "I'm a "movieworm" though."
They both laughed.
That was the dawn of a new friendship.

Hello guys, I'm back. Here's a new chapter!!

"Come on now be faster, they can't wait to see my new friend. And there you are, dawdling around!" Kate waits at the door, giving Rue a feigned frustrated look.
Rue laughs. "I thought you said they only wanted to see you?"
"No. Alright, fine, yes, they wanted to see me but I want to show them my friend." Kate is tongue tied.
"Go ahead, you don't need to wait for me. I'll come later." Rue packs up her novel and some other needed things, searching for her phone.
"Make sure you do. Oh, and wear this." Kate says as she flings a short skirt and a tank top to Rue. "At least be decent instead of wearing your jacket and baggy jeans everyday."
"But I can't..." murmured Rue as she glanced at the clothes. She will never wear those. Not in a lifetime.
Kate shakes her head and headed outside. "Trust me you'll look good in them. See you there!"
'I'm not going to wear those. Even if this is a rare get-together. Mine is decent, not hers.' Rue thought as she wears her favourite jacket, a grey one with sleeves longer than her arms.
Kate isn't always with Rue. Sometimes, or most of the time, she stays at the hotel nearby. Rue wonders why she spent so much on this room when she has the hotel to live in.
She found her phone as it rang, somewhere between her pile of books.
"Hello? Ruth speaking." She picks up the call and mentally rebukes herself for forgetting the name Rue.
"River, how are you doing? You've never contacted me for so long. I'm starting to worry."
Rue jolts at the mention of her middle name and the accent of the drawl. It has been months since she heard it and she doesn't like it. Not one bit. She ends the call at once and walks out of the room after locking the door.
It is a windy day and as the cold wind blew against her, she is glad that she wore her jacket instead of a good-for-nothing tank top. She cannot comprehend Kate's taste for clothes, even if they have been together for two weeks now.
As she walks along the corridor rounding her block, she bumps into a guy with blond hair who was rushing towards somewhere. He does not even apologise and goes on his way, leaving Rue wondering on her own.
Playlist while they're in the library
Rue arrives at the library after five minutes and goes inside. She is greeted with a bear hug by Kate, and before she can catch her breath, she is pulled to one of the tables at the side of the library.
Two guys are sitting side to side and laughing at some apparent jokes they were talking about. One has brown hair and blue eyes like Harvey-Two-Face in the Batman movie, and the other one has striking green eyes with jet black hair, like Sebastian Morgenstern in Mortal Instruments. Rue couldn't help naming them this way, as she has read too many books. She recalls the blue-eyed guy being in her literature and French classes.
"This is James, and this is Chaol." Kate introduces them to Rue. "And guys, this girl beside me is my new bestie, Rue."
"Have a seat." says James after shaking hands with Rue. "Do you want to stand up all day?" He winks and continues.
Rue doesn't notice his smirk as she stumbles a little before she sits down, blushing as she embarrasses herself.
"Kate, why isn't Chaol introducing himself?"she whispers to Kate.
"Don't bother about him, he is like that."Kate replies as James interrupts them.
"So, how about going to the movies this Saturday?"
Rue doesn't focus on the topic and notices that Chaol is being very quiet, looking at her with his piercing green eyes, almost as if he could analyse her very thought. His waxed black hair hangs slightly, falling and hiding part of his forehead from view. He sweeps it away. A simple gesture, but attractive.
Then he turns away, looking bored. She wonders what is wrong with him.
"... Paris? It's not awesome enough?" Kate's voice wakes her up from her reveries.
"I would rather go to England. No such thing as "al fresco" there to dirty the place." James laughs.
"Al fresco?" Rue and Chaol asks at the same time.
"What is al fresco?" Asks Kate a second later.
"Public peeing." James redoubles his laugh, amused at their disgusted faces.
"Seriously?" Chaol smiles. His eyes crinkle in a cute way that makes Rue feel warm towards him.
"I would still want to go to Paris someday. I don't care, honestly. It's the best place to go if I have a boyfriend."says Rue.
"Agreed." Chaol blurted and added, "just the first two lines though."
"Romantic." Kate teases.
Rue nudged Kate's shoulder in reply.
"What?" Kate fakes innocence, making everyone laugh.

Al fresco is the reason why the railway stations of France reek. Consider before you go to Paris ;)
The guy above is the guy who bumped into Rue.
