"Bella are you even paying attention to what I'm saying?" she asked. I just shook my head no and ran into my room, not hearing or responding to another word she said.
...................................................................
Wiping those tears, I went down. I wasn't ready to talk about it to anyone. Not even my friends who were with me when it took placed. I just put on my best smile and went towards Cass.
"Uhm I'm sorry Cass. You just reminded me of home and I couldn't hold back the tears."
"I understand Bella. It's totally fine. I also get that you aren't with Jack anymore. I won't push you to tell me about that. I know you'll tell me when you're ready and stuff."
"Thanks Cass. So how you doin' big sista?"
She grinned at me and looked at the can of whipped cream in the kitchen.
"Oh no Cass. I didn't mean it. No don't. Don't do-".Before I could complete my sentence, Cass dumped the whole can onto my head. Gosh. Cousins can be really annoying. Especially when you have a cousin like Cassandra. A total brat.
Two hours later, here we were, scrubbing the floor of my kitchen cause of the huge mess Cass and I made. Apparently the kitchen looked as though a whole zoo of hungry animals invaded it. Whipped cream, Jam, peanut butter, whatever sticky food item you know, name it. I was reeking of sticky food and I desperately wanted to go take a shower but mom clearly said "If the kitchen isn't clean in another two hours, you'll be grounded lil girl". A typical mom's dialogue.
"Bella I'm so sorry. I didn't expect our silly wars to go to this extent." Cass said, guilt written all over her pretty, but now dirty face.
"Cass don't sweat it. Trust me, I had so much fun. The look on Olivia's face when she entered the kitchen was priceless. We should do this more often." I said while cleaning the kitchen counter.
"I like the idea. You ready to die though? Because your mom would clearly behead us the next time this happens." She laughed. "Ah of course she would. Worth the risk right?"
"If you were to clean the kitchen afterwards, then totally."
By the time I could say anything back, Cass poured mango juice all over me.
"Cass! GAME ON YOU LITTLE PIG"
I looked over to the clock and saw that the time was 7 pm. Cass took Olivia home around 6 and my parents left a little while after. I was so bored so switched on the Tv and am currently watching Grey's Anatomy.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
Must be Grayson. I thought.
I ran over to open door which revealed a very stressed out human being.
"Are you going to keep staring at me or are you going to let me inside?" The voice on the other side asked.
"Hello to you too Grayson. Get in. And for your information, I wasn't staring at you."
The nerves of this guy to think I was staring at him. I have to look at the person if I'm opening the door right? Just because he is handsome. Pfft.
"Where's your room?" He asked in a very stern manner.
"My room? For what?" I asked confused.
"Are you sure that you didn't dye your hair brown from blonde?"
"Why don't you try figuring it out while tutoring me?" I snapped.
Okay, bottom line, I don't like this guy. Not even one bit. Aren't nerds stereotypically supposed to be quiet? Why does he even talk too much. All because he is good looking and he knows it.
"Okay Dumb dumb. I'm sorry. I actually didn't quite get your name the other day." He lifted both of eyebrows and gave me smirk.
"It's Isabella. Call me Bella." I lifted my hand to give him a handshake and I got back a stare of disgust from him.
"Don't you want to study? Unless you want to fail that is."
"Yo dude. You don't know anything about me. I'm good at studies. My parents think I need some friends here. You are like the fish in the pond. Easy access of a friend."
By this time, he had already made his way to my room and towards my bed. He just gave me one of those emotionless stares that he is so good at giving and sat on the edge of my bed.
"Come here." He patted towards the spot next to him on my bed. "I am not your friend. I never will be so don't bother telling people you know me. You don't know anything about me either so cut the crap and just study. It'll be easy for the both of us."
With that, he started teaching me about some random stuff on algebra.
One thing I knew for sure. I do not like him. And this was just a start of a game. A game in which he is going to lose terribly.
I'm going to make that nerd fall for me.
