Chapter 15 : The Book Signing

Today was May 29th, the day Takatsuki Sen was going to do the book signing, and was also the day the results of the College Entrance Exam would be released. Kaneki, Hide, Yoriko, Touka, and Hinami were all gathered around a table, looking at Hide's laptop. He got to the website, entered his name and student number and ID, and hit the enter button. And there was the result.

Nagachika Hideyoshi :

Kamii University Enrolled. (Well I dunno how to write it so I'll just write it in my way)

"YOSHA!!!!!" Shouted Hide as he jumped out of his seat, jumping, yelling. "Hurry up! Kaneki! Check yours!!" Shouted Touka, covering her ears to block Hide's cheers and yells.

"Alright! Here I go!" He entered what Hide had entered and hit the enter button.

Kaneki Ken :

Kamii University Enrolled.

"Yes!!" He shouted as he stood up and hugged Hide and hi-fived. "Congratulations! Onii-chan and Hide-niichan!!" Said Hinami, smiling. Kaneki and Hide looked at her and smiled. "Thank you! Hinami-chan!" Said the two together. 

"Man! This's such a great news!" Said Hide, satisfied with his results. "Yeah! Gotta go tell my mom, that could let her Rest In Peace." Said Kaneki, still smiling. "She would be very happy to hear that, I'm sure!" Said Touka, patting Kaneki's back.

"Well, anyway, let's go have lunch, and head for the book signing, shall we?" Said Kaneki. "Sure, sounds great!" Said Hide. Hinami's face brightened up and rushed upstairs to get her book. "Then I'll go to the theme park after lunch." Said Touka, and they all nodded.

"Onii-chan! I'm ready! Let's go!!" Said Hinami cheerfully, holding a book with her right hand. "Camera?" Asked Kaneki. Hinami smiled and pointed at her chest, where a camera was dangling. "Alright! Off we go, then!" Said Kaneki, and the five left Anteiku.

After they had lunch Kaneki, Hide, Yoriko, and Hinami headed toward the bookstore, and Touka headed for another direction and disappeared in the crowds. "Onii-chan!! I'm so nervous and excited now!!" Hinami said in a slightly quivering voice.

"It's okay, Hinami chan, I've been through the same thing when I first met her." Said Kaneki. And Hinami turned and looked at him. "Onii-chan's already met Takatsuki Sen??" She asked in disbelieve.

"Yeah, I did." He answered. "You did?? When??" Asked Hide. "The day I got injured. In fact, Eto invited me and Rize-san to her house to meet her, and after that Rize-san and I went home, and the accident happened at a construction site on our way back." Kaneki said.

"Oh, I see. So if you didn't go to her house then you wouldn't have got hurt!" Said Yoriko, and Kaneki smiled. "Well, if I didn't go to her house then I wouldn't be here chatting with you and I would still be that freaken bastard, wouldn't I?" Said Kaneki, and they all laughed.

"Ah, I guess this's just another prank fate played on us." Said Hide, folding his arms. "Yeah, I guess it is." Said Kaneki.

"Onii-chan, can... can I hold your hand??" Asked Hinami. She looked very nervous. Kaneki smiled and held out his hand. "Sure you can." She grabbed it. Kaneki could feel her hand sweating and shaking slightly, and he smiled again.

"Hinami-chan I think you're slightly overreacting." Said Hide, and Yoriko pinched him. "Ow! What was that for??" Asked Hide, rubbing the place where Yoriko pinched, pouting.

"She's going to meet the person she admires the most in the world!!" She hissed. "Okay okay, I'm sorry Hinami-chan." Said Hide, scratching his head, and Yoriko nodded with satisfaction.
