Jack awkwardly coughed and I just ignored his presence. I caught him looking at me a few times but I brushed it off.
'Um Miss. Hemmings may I ask what project we have to do?' Jack asked, rolling my eyes and I bit my lip.
'You and Ms. Beer will be doing your project about Polar Bears and about saving the ice bergs'
Of course I missed him but it was down rude what he done on me. 'What was going in between you and Andrea' I just blurred out. Jack seemed to freeze that I asked him the question I've been wanting to ask for weeks.
'Nothing was going on between us' he just mummered.
'Don't lie to me Jack, there damn was something going on!' I quietly yelled. He just stayed quiet and held his head low. 'She knew Andrew was in hospital and she was out cheating in him with my ex boyfriend, how do you think Drew would feel if he was alive right now? He would be sick to his fucking stomach' I ranted. 'Language Ms.Beer' Ms. hemmings said. I huffed and I just glared at Jack.
He sat there as awkwardly as he could get. 'I'm sorry' he whispered. 'My best friend is dead and all you could think about was going to get your bit' I nearly broke down thinking if what he was doing behind Andrews back.
'Its not good enough' I shook my head in disgust. The sour taste of my tears appeared on my tongue as I hadn't notice I was crying till now.
Jack didn't glance at me once nor did he talk to me for the rest of the class. When the bell rang I gathered my things and headed towards the girls restrooms. I opened the doors to the restrooms and another girl came out as we both bumped shoulders off each other. 'I'm so sorry!' She said with a shocked face. 'Its okay' I gave her a small smile and she returned one back. I wiped my eyes with my hand and her face just dropped to pure guilt. 'Oh my god are you okay?' She asked worryingly. I nodded at her and I just walked into the restrooms and turned on the cold water. She walked in behind me and set her bag on the counter. 'What's wrong' she soothed me by rubbing my back. 'Nothing its fine, everything is fine' I assured her but she wouldn't take no for an answer.
'I'm here for you, I know I don't know you personally but I've seen you in some of my classes Madison' she blurted out, I laughed a genuine laugh. 'Its just ex boyfriend troubles'
'Is it about Jack?' I nodded
'Yous two fitted each other perfect. Perfect couple in school, what happened to that perfect?' I sighed, we were the schools cutest couple apparently when we did date.
'Oh he just didn't love me no longer and decided to cheat on me with my best friends girlfriend while my best friend was on his death bed in hospital' her whole expression from shocked to even more shocked and guilty.
'Oh I'm extremely sorry to hear that Madison, I'm always here even though you don't really know me but I am, I want to get to know you because I've always wanted to know what being your friend was like.' We laughed.
'I'm Ebonie by the way' she said while giving me a cheeky smile. 'Hello Ebonie, I'm Madison, nice to meet you' I said kidding holding out my hand and she shook it.

'I'm sorry about how we met, thought I would do it in a correct manner' I managed to pull off a English accent. We both laughed then I smiled, for the first time in a while, I really managed to enjoy someones company.
Ebonie looked at the gold watch that sat on her wrist and she mumbled a few cuss words under breathe. 'Everything okay?' I raised a eyebrow wondering what was wrong.
'I'm just late for basketball practice, coach will kill me' She picked up her bag and flung it on her shoulders. 'I'll see you around' I nodded giving her a small tight smile.
She turned on he heels and walked out of the bathroom, I stood there biting my lip. To go back to class or to pretend to be sick?
I can't miss anymore days of school so I ended up going to class late and explaining that I wasn't feeling well. Mr. Jacob was the most understanding teacher in this building. He was our history teacher but was also the fittest teacher going.
I sat in my seat that was across from Andrea but she never came into school so I didn't need to feel uncomfortable.
I took out my text books and opened up whatever page Mr. Jacob told us to open. Luckily Jack wasn't in this class so I could finally think straight and get on with getting my levels I need for college.
Class felt like it was taking forever to pass but the bell finally rang, I gathered my stuff and stood to my feet. Everyone was trying to get out of the class but I didn't care.
Once there was room to get out I headed for the school doors but my vision started to get blurry. I slowed down my walking and gripped onto a nearby wall, I looked around, the halls were crowded.
I breathed in and out but my head started to spin. I snapped my eyes shut but when I reopened them it was still the same.
People just looked at me as they walked by, I got an ache in my chest, it was started to hurt while I was breathing. It started to get hard to breathe. I clutched my chest in agony and yelled for help.
'Madison!' I heard someone yell, they came into sight view and it was Jack. My eyes started to roll back and the last thing I remember is hitting the cold marble floor.
