Imagine that you just went through something horrible like a long journey then getting suddenly off course by a freak storm,  freezing to the bone then add falling, crashing getting more injured, have your bird go crazy, then blacking out. Then you wake up in some place hurting like you have been dragged through fire then thorn bushes.  Of course you would freak out, no so much about that very nice bed but about where the heck are you.

All the could remember was falling, not able to feel his fingers and thinking, this is a crappy way to die. Then everything went black. Once or twice he would hear some voices. Something about, birds, arrows and amazing hair?

He rolled onto the ground with a thud, which pretty much woke him up.

"gah" he moaned rubbing his head as he laid on the floor. For a moment, he thought he was home. Then of course it was never this nice, he sat up quickly. Panic started to build up in his chest. Where was he?

Feeling a tap on his shoulder he grabbed the hand roughly and faced this person.  A small yelp came from....a little girl?

"Um Hi?" She smiled nervously and waved her fingers with her free hand. He had her other hand twisted but since he wasn't well at full strength and was still in a daze, he didn't snap her wrist.  "Um nice grip but...uh could you please let go?"

She was a jin, a marigold girl but had weird colors for a marigold. She had this glow to her it seemed. Like...like something powerful. But this was a little girl, who sort of had the colors of a lily. And he would have snapped her wrist.

He realized what he was doing, and let go of her wrist. She backed up a bit rubbing her wrist. He tried standing up and try to get some answers but a wave of nausea washed over him. His head hurt, wait no his entire body hurt. The girl suddenly lurched forward to help him and settled him down on the bed. His vision was spinning and blinked hard to clear it. The little girl patted his back.

"Well its nice to see you are awake" she said trying to break the silence, and the awkwardness. He rubbed his neck, and nodded.

They sat there a bit in silence, till she again had to speak. "My name is Mari by the way? And do you normally try to break someone's hand?" she asked smiling.

He blinked at her, his jaw jutting slightly to the side, raising one brow.

"Oh please tell me you got a sense of humor" Mari nudged his arm with her elbow. "Now lets get you dressed, can't have you looking like you wrestled with a mouse can we?"

Mari was quite the dresser or whatever call someone who picks out clothing. He was wearing tradional 'leafman' clothing for winter weather. A long sleeved shirt under another shirt with no sleeves and had a high collar. Inside the outside shirt was mousefur which kept him warm. He wore dark pants and boots with a belt around his waist. His right hand was wrapped in cloth. Didn't really serve anything just made him look 'amazing' or thats at least Mari told him. And she had gotten his name out of him.

He walked with a limb as she told him stuff he honestly didn't care about. But he did find out that he was at Moonhaven. Had been out cold for a few days, and apparently muttered in his sleep. Mari seemed to leave out the part about how she knew all this.

They were walking out onto a high ledge to look over the mostly frozen water that surrounding Moonhaven. Mari was all bundled up and wrapped in a blanket, several times he had to make sure she didn't tip over. She had insisted they come up here for some dumb reason. He scowled in the cold weather.

Mari had taken notice he wasn't a generally happy person. With those gray eyes, he looked older than he should look. She really hoped she could lighten the mood with him, he was rather good looking. With that black hair and that strong jawline. She found herself staring at him a little to intensely and quickly looked away. "So North you ever seen a hummingbird?" she asked raising a brow.

"A what?" He frowned, he should really stop frowning or his face could be stuck like that. But his expression was pretty good because Mari giggled.

"You'll see," She winked at him.

As if on cue, a huge swarm of hummingbirds flew around Moonhaven, and North's jaw dropped. Mari giggled watching his face. This must have been the first time he had seen these things cause his gray eyes marveled at the birds.

The leafmen had came out to watch their steeds fly out of sight, they had to leave. The winter had come so early the poor things had to quickly head out. It was kind of sad, many leafmen bond with their bird. Watching it leave was sometimes hard cause they don't always come back.

Mari wished the silence would last forever personally but all good things don't last do they?

"Queen Mari!" a very familiar voice came behind the two.

"Queen?" North looked at Mari in confusion.

Kind of funny she had left one tiny detail she had forgot to tell the dear ambassador. She was the queen.

Ronin walked over, his famous scowl on his face. "Your guards had no idea where you went! You can't just go without someone" he seemed to not notice the ambassador there. Typical Ronin, always being overprotective. Since Mari's mother had went to rest, Ronin had become like a father to her. A very....protective one.

"Ahem I clearly am not alone" She stuck out her tongue at him and gestured to North who was looking rather flabbergasted, But regained himself quickly. Ronin turned to him, his face deadly serious. He seemed to be studying every detail about North. His strikingly blue eyes narrowed as he looked him over. North seemed to tense up a bit, a panic almost seemed to flash in those intense gray eyes of his but it was only for a second. He formally bowed to Ronin who still was frowning.

"Well, its good to see our guest is walking about." Ronin narrowed his eyes raising his head a bit up. "Now you can tell us what the heck happened" he told sternly. North seemed to flinch at Ronin's tone. But nodded in agreement with him.

Finn suddenly flew in on his bird, "Ronin!" he ran up to his commanding officer, clearly out of breath. Ronin asked what the matter is, and Finn looked at Ronin gravely.

North turned and looked up at the sky, huge massive storm clouds circled above them. Something that endangers the life of the forest, that challenges your will to survive. North clearly understood this.

  "Snow...its coming sir" Finn told.
