Diamond woke up to a cold rainy New York morning. Jason was nowhere to be found. She jumped up when she realized it. She checked to see if all her clothes were on, then she looked around her house to see if anything was missing. She had never moved this fast with a man, and the fact that she brought a man into her home whom shes only known for two days was a bit much for her. She let out a sigh of relief when she realized that nothing was missing and that she hadn't been taken advantage of. There was a note on her coffe table next to an empty bottle of wine and a half eaten bowl of popcorn. She pulled her hair back into a pony tail and released it. It fell back onto her sholders as she grabbed the letter on the table and read it.
Dear Diamond,
I don't know what it is about you, but I really like you. I know it's only been two days but I have this great feeling about you. Its like...like at first sight. I hate to sound corny but thats how you make me feel. Just to let you know, I didn't take advantage of you. I had to work this morning. I didn't want to wake you. You looked to beautiful. Call me when you're free. I want to hear your voice.
Jason
Diamond got up from the couch and smiled. There were butterflies in her stomach and she felt good. It was Sunday morning and she had lots of work to do. She took a shower, brushed her teeth, and pulled her hair into a bun. She really needed to get her hair redone, but she figured she'd do that another time. She cleaned up the remnants of lasnight and she poured her paper work on the coffee table.
"Press releases, photoshoots, feaures. It never ends." she said as she took a deep breath. She looked at the clock above her. It was already three o clock. She couldn't believe that she had been over sleeping like this. She heard the door bell ring, which was weird because she wasn't expecing anybody. Vanessa didn't call, and her other friend Keisha didn't either.
"Who is it?" She yelled out before opening the door.
"Delivery." She heard somebody say.
She stood up from the couch and walked over to the door and looked through the peep hole. There were three men standing outside her door. Two of them were holding two dozen roses, and the other two had an edible arrangement in their hands. She opened the door slowly.
"Hello?" She said confused as to what was going on. She felt like she was living a movie.
"Are you Ms. Smith?" The short Italian man said to her.
"Yes I am." She said still confused.
"These are for you. Would you like us to set them down for you?" He asked.
"Yeah..Yeah sure." Dimaond said as she placed her hands on her cheeks.
She watched the men place her items around her kitchen and leave. Once she heard the door shut she walked over to the kitchen and looked for a card.
To: Diamond
From: Jason
Just because.
Diamond giggled to herself. Jason was too good to be true. She decided to call him. He answered on the first ring.
