Diamond got most of her work done lastnight. She was working on getting things prepared with her new cliet. That was a project that would take some time and she didn't want to rush it. She went into her office about 8:00am to check any voicemails. When she left she found a dozen roses sitting infront of her door with a card that read. "I'm sorry. - Jason" Diamond sighed, grabbed the roses and sniffed them.
Before she left SoHo, she stopped at a cafe and picked up Ruby something to eat since se would be having dinner with Calvin tonight.
"So you are going to give Calvin another chance?" Ruby said as she bit into her mac and cheese.
"Mind your business." Diamond said.
It was alrady twelve o'clock. Diamond wanted to be fresh when she met up with Calvin so she ran some bath water and got in. She thought about the times they had with eachother. Good and bad. She didn't want to take too long so she got out, lotioned her body and slipped into her new Versace dress. It fit her like a glove. She admired herself. Curled her hair, put on nude lipstick and eyeshadow. She sprayed her Marc Jacobs perfume on her body changed her purse.
Ruby laughed and rolled her eyes when she saw Diamond all dressed up.
"What's funny?" Diamond asked her.
"Oh nothing!" Ruby got up and pretended to wash the dishes.
"Anyway, I'll see you later. Don't wait up!" Diamond joked.
"Oh trust me. I won't." Ruby laughed like a child and headed into the guest bedroom. Diamond went into her bedroom and sprayed herself one more time before flagging down a taxi. It was almost two thirty. She knew she was going to be late. She got there about ten minutes after two thirty. She looked around for Calvin. She spotted the tall, dark and handsome man sitting in a corner that over looked Times Square. He was looking out the window. He had on a nice casual outfit. Leather jacket and denim jeans.
"Sorry I made you wait." Diamond said as she pulled out her chair.
Calvin got up to help her out.
"Such a gentelman." Diamond joked.
"Nice for you to join me Diamond, I was starting to loose hope." Calvin pouted. It was so cute, it made Diamond laugh.
"Aww, well I'm here now." Diamond smiled at him.
"My name is Macy. I will be your server today." A chubby white girl with freckles, blue eyes and blonde hair said to them. "Can I start you two off with drinks?" She asked as she placed a menu infront of them.
"I'll have a strawberry daiquri." Diamond said.
"I'll have a beer." Calvin said.
"Awesome! I'll be back. Take your time." She said with a smile.
Calvin brought his attention back to Diamond.
"You look beautiful, D." He said. "Can I call you D again?" He asked.
"Thank you and of course." Diamond said to him.
The two made small talk. By the time Macy came back with their drinks they knew what they wanted to order.
"I'll have the steak, potatoes and stemed veggies." Calvin said to her.
"I'll have the shrimp and chicken pasta with a side of steamed veggies please." Diamond ordered.
"So how have you been!" Calvin said, trying to keep conversation with her.
"I've been good. I have my own PR firm now. You know."
