One dance by Drake blasted throughout the house as I made my way through the sea of people back to Erik with the drinks.
"Thanks ma" he said when I appeared next to him.
I handed him his beer and sipped on mine as I stood next to him, pretending to be interested in the conversation he was having with his friends, nodding my head here and there.
I never liked the party scene, I only went to make him happy.
"Audrey, I'm talking to you"
All of his friends were starting at me, "Oh, sorry I wa- what was it?"
"Diego is trash talking Spain" he laughed and who I assumed was Diego hit his arm.
"I was not "trash talking". I was merely telling you how bad they are, even with some of the best players in the world"
Then Erik turned back to them, making me wonder why he even got me involved in the conversation at all.
"Audrey, did you watch the game? I'd say they beat South Korea's ass"
"Yeah, of course. They did great"
I honestly had no Idea if they did great or not considering I hadn't watched a soccer game of any sort for the past two years.
I told Erik I was gonna use the restroom which was pointless because he paid no attention when I did tell him. I found the door that the party host told me to look for, supposedly it was the only one that looked like this in the entire house.
I turned the knob but it was locked , so I knocked.
"Hurry up please?" I asked.
I heard rumbling around then a girls voice whisper something. A girl with dark skin walked out, her hair ruffled and her dress messed up.
Gross, I thought to myself.
Then a tall guy walked out, his back facing me as he closed the door.
When he turned around my heart stopped.
Marc.
