"Kyle, happy birthday sweetie you better wake up its time to go to school "said Lisa . Kyle did not want to get out of bed."Looks like I don't have a choice "he thought to himself and finally managed to drag himself out of bed and into the bathroom ."Did you sleep well?"asked Lisa as he came out of the shower."Yup mom"he groaned ."My baby is seventeen years old" she whistled impressively.He looked at the calendar it was the first of July ,his birthday .It had been seventeen years since Kyle's father had left them.Kyle and Lisa had been living by themselves ever since in a small cozy apartment in San Diego California .

Lisa worked as a doctor in San Diego hospital while Kyle attended school at Joseph's high."Come on I will drop you off at school today on the way to work"said Lisa ."Have a good day at school "she said as she dropped him of."Bye mom "said Kyle.

"Kyle!"called out his two best friends Leo and Jake as he walked into the school ."Happy birthday man,wow you are seventeen!" Leo exclaimed ."Thanks guys ,so what class do we have to attend first?"he asked .First class of the day was history . Kyle had never liked history because he felt that it was absolutely useless learning about the past.He and his friends walked into the class and took their seats "Gentleman prepare yourselves for an hour of torture "he said."Good morning class "said Mr Percy their history teacher .Mr Percy was mostly the reason he found history useless ,he had a knack for making his students fall asleep the minute he started his class.

"I would like to introduce a new student"he said.A pretty girl with dark brown hair walked in she introduced herself as Vanessa Stewart from New Jersey who had moved in a week ago."Thank you Ms Stewart please take your seat next to Mr Sanders. She sat next to me "Best birthday ever"Kyle thought to himself .After the class got over Vanessa turned to him and said" Hi I am Vanessa and you are?"I am Kyle "he said."I really need some help getting used to things around here can you help me"?"sure" he said."Come on I will show you around"and he showed her around the whole school.He gave her all the notes she needed and the rest of the day was just any normal day with boring classes.

After school he and his friends decided to have lunch at their favorite cafe ."Earth to Sanders "said Leo ."What is on your mind dude? you have been quiet all day "said Leo."I am sure he is thinking about the new girl "giggled Jake ."Shut up guys"he said.

They entered sketch cafe and ordered a whole bunch of junk food.After an hour of playing games and stuffing themselves with delicious food ,they decided to call it a day and head home.After he went home he made himself a bowl of popcorn and decided to watch Wimbledon. An hour later his mom came home "how was your day ?"she asked ."I had great fun mom"."what do you want for dinner ?"she asked ."Nothing mom I think I will just go to bed,feeling a bit tired."Good night sweetie ""Good night mom".

That night he dreamed of himself as the king of a very beautiful island which seemed to have existed a thousand years ago .He wore a very expensive king's costume with a cape and he loved his looks.Some part of him wished it was true "It was true ,this is your past"said a voice and he woke up with a start.
