I walked in hand-in-hand with Alison to Mary's office. Her office was quite silent today, the only thing you could hear were quiet murmurs. Usually, you would hear the music from the inside and when you knock on the door, you'll hear some shuffling, the music'll stop and then she opens the door with her hair all messed up.

I don't know why. She was probably masturbating or something.

She was seated her desk with my manager, Keaton, in front of her. When they heard the door click, they both turned to look at us. I looked at Keaton, who's face brightened.

"You're fine!" He exclaimed and stood up, adjusting his shirt. "Mary told me about the recent events that had been happening," He seemed to have stuttered a bit but I just ignored it as he continued. "I-I admit I am a horrible manager but..."

His eyes trained down to Alison and I's connected hands. I saw him gulp before he looked back to us. "We have decided to.. to stop the publicity stunt."

"But–" I started but he interrupted me.

"Don't worry, Emily, we already got the whole scenery of your breakup story set up, you don't need to do anythi–" When he noticed my cold hard glare, he stopped mid-sentence. He lets out a deep sigh and looks at me, almost sympathetically. "We have set up new relationships for you guys. Emily, you'll be paired up with Camila Cab–"

"And what?" Alison snapped as I whipped my head to her direction, to see her glare at my manager. She flipped her hair sassily and pursed her lips. "You guys should have at least told us about this. Plus, we don't want to do this. We're–" She stopped and held up our intertwined fingers towards them. "–together."

I felt my cheeks warm up at that.

Mary stood up, sensing the tension and the air getting thicker as Alison glared at the both of them. Alison still hasn't let go of my hand yet, which is a good thing, because if she lets go, I know that her hand will end up across Keaton's and Mary's cheeks.

She slowly made her way towards Alison. She reached up and she was about to place her hand on Alison's arm but Alison jerked herself away from her. "Get away from me!" She hissed.

"Let me explain to you, Alison." She pleaded softly, making Alison's features soften. They must've been through alot together, because Alison is not that forgiving, and she doesn't let anybody explain things. She sees it the way she sees it. "We just don't want you guys to live a lie anymore."

"But that doesn't make sense." I butted it. "If you don't, then why are you setting us up with different people?" I asked, but since I wasn't finished, when Mary opened her mouth to answer, I raise my hand to shut her up. "We want to be together." I said, let go of Alison's hand and wrapping my arm around her, pulling her closer to me.

"Yeah, we do." Alison said, and I looked down to her, to see her blushing profusely. I smiled at the sight but that smile immediately faltered when Mary started speaking.

"Yeah, well, this will be good for your careers, guys. Think about it. The both of you. Dating Fifth Harmony's most shipped duo. Camren." She said a low voice.

"Yeah, and all of your fans will be delighted." Keaton jumped in as I looked at his face. His face used to be very intelligent-looking and very.. I used to feel warm and safe when I looked at him. Not romantically though. It was like as if he was my brother.

"Shut up, will ya?" I snapped at him, who seemed shocked by my words but I just ignored that and looked at Mary. "Are you stupid? The majority of my fans and Alison's fans are emison shippers. They would not be 'delighted'," I said in disgust as I scrunched up my face at the choice of words, Keaton was using. "It's better if we cut off the deal with Fifth Harmony's management–" I was interrupted by Mary, again.

"Maverick." She corrected.

"I'm sorry. You must've mistakened me as someone who gives a shit," I said slowly as I turned to the red-head, who just crossed her arms and looked away from me. "As I was saying. Cut the deal off with Maverick and let the emison shippers live happily because this might actually cause self-harming."

"How will this result to self-har–" Keaton started but Alison interrupted with a hiss.

"Because we are some of these teenagers, who are suffering, are depending on us." She explained. "And, Mary, haven't you read the notes my fans send me? They send me notes about how we've helped them get through alot of things."

With a hard cold glare thrown at Mary and Keaton, seeing the realization on their faces, I turned around and stormed out.

"They're dumb." I said, for the 500th time this night.

Alison and I were outisde in the backyard. Her back was leaning against a tree while my head was resting on her lap. I gazed up to the sky, looking at the stars, before closing my eyes when Alison started to run her fingers through my brown locks.

"Mm." Alison hummed. "I know you're still mad and all, but I don't think you should have been that harsh."

I opened my eyes and sat up. Rubbing my eyes, I scooted beside Alison and leaned my back against the tree with a frown on my face.

"They can't control our love life, Alison." I whispered, feeling the cold breeze blowing against my skin, sending chills throughout my body. "I–I love you. I do not love Camila, or whatever her name is, I love you so I won't date her."

"But it's not real." Alison pressed and I turned to glare at her.

"You're seriously taking their side? You don't think we deserve the freedom to date people we are deeply in love with." She blushed.

"Yeah, but it's good for our caree–"

"I don't care about my career. I care about you." I hissed, pointing at her. "Don't you care about me too?!" When she didn't answer and looked down to her lap, silently, I glared at her and stood up, mumbling a I can't believe this, as I stomped my way back to my mansion.

Idiots.
