"I feel fine. I promise. Thank you so much for everything you've done for me." Dr. Snow put up a finger in protest but I took off before she could say anything.

I knew exactly where I was going. Home.

I busted through the door, and my mom jumped up off the couch.

"What the-" She started. I threw my self at her and she immediately hugged back. She smelt like coconut. I pulled away from her and she had tears in her eyes.

"You're awake! Why didn't S.T.A.R. labs call??" She asked.

"I just woke up." I said smiling.

"Should you even be on your feet?" She said furrowing her eyebrows.

"Mom, I'm okay." I hugged her again.

For the rest of the day Mom caught me up on everything that's happened in Central City and what was going on at the animal shelter.

"-And after the explosion happened-" She was saying.

"What explosion?" I cut her off.

"Dr. Wells didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?" I asked confused.

"When the Particle Accelerator was turned on... it malfunctioned and central city went into a black out and many people were injured and even killed.. that's why you were in S.T.A.R. labs. So they could help you." She explained.

"Okay, so let me get this straight. You thought it was a good idea to hand me over to the people who destroyed Central City? They could have killed me!" I was saying as my voice escalated higher.

"I-I just wanted to help-"

"No, mom. I can't believe you handed me over to those monsters!" I yelled and ran out the door.

This time, I wasn't going to a friendly place. I was going to face the murders that poisoned my city. They lied to me and said everything was fine. Nothing, was fine.

I was running and running and running, until I fell down in an alley and didn't stand back up. It was getting dark, and the street light near by wasn't working. I carefully stood up and started walking out of the alley. Only one light was working on this street.

A black cat jumped out in front of me causing me to yelp and jump back. As I looked at the cat, I saw it was starving. It looked very tired and worn out. The cat had one green eye and one yellow. It's left ear was white, but the rest of the cat was pitch black.

I reached down to pet the cat, feeling it's soft fur, and admiring its beautiful whiskers.

Then I heard my self scream.
