We Were in the Cortex, Cisco started playing 'Poker Face', the most annoying song ever.

I heard a giant gasp, I turned around and Barry was awake, and he was panicking.

"Where am I?" He questioned us all.

Calm down. Your at S.T.A.R. labs, dude." Cisco said.

I just stood there, having no clue what to do or say.

--

"S.T.A.R. labs?? What is going on here?" Barry Allen was saying.

"Barry, calm down." Caitlin was saying.

As I watched her trying to calm Barry, I couldn't help but feel bad for her. My heart ached for her, she had told me about Ronnie, her fiance who died the night of the explosion, saving the entire city.

"How do you know my name?" Barry asked her.

I was watching the young boy fumble around in a confused, similar state I as in as of 3 months ago.

"Because, Mr. Allen, We have been keeping you alive and breathing for approximately 9 months now." Dr. Wells said as he wheeled around the corner.

"9 months?" Barry replied.

"Yes, Mr. West and his daughter gave me permission to bring you here and save your life."

"Iris? I have to go." Barry was taking all the cords off of him as he stood up.

"No, you can't. You we're struck by LIGHTENING dude!" Cisco said. Barry was looking into one of those weird mirrors doctors use.

"Lightening....gave me abs?" He was saying in a whisper.

"Your cells seem go be in some sort of state of regeneration." Caitlin said.

"I have to go." He said walking away.

"You can't! Your body could be going through changes we don't even understand!" Caitlin said trying to catch him.

"I feel fine. Thank you for saving my life and everything." He said walking out of the cortex.

At that moment I realized just how similar our reactions were when we woke up.

"What now?" I asked.

"We wait." Dr. Wells said.

"Wait for what?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Nevermind." He replied and wheeled away.

"We need to get him back here..." Caitlin said.

"That was weird.." I whispered to myself.

A few hours later

I was walking down the cold, dark street. I could see the dim glow of the street lights, and my shadow walking among it. I realized how quiet the street was, and how beautiful it was without people rushing to and from work.

A hand reached out and grabbed me, pulling me into a dark alley way and slamming me against the wall.

"You make one sound, I WILL kill you." A deep voice spoke.

I stood frozen, trying to figure out what was going to happen. Whoever this guy was, tried to slip his hand in my shirt. I was about to transform when suddenly he was gone, and all I seen was a red blur, and then it disappeared in a blink.

"What was that?" I thought.

As I walked the rest of the way home I couldn't help but think I saw a face in the red blur. Who was this guy? Or maybe is wasn't even a guy? Was he/She effected by the particle accelerator too? So many questions running through my mind.

I opened the front door to my house and my mother was asleep on the couch. I grabbed a blanket and pulled it over her, then went into the kitchen. I made some spaghetti and woke my mom up.

"You hungry?" I asked while she rubbed her eyes.

"Yeah, thanks." She said grabbing a bowl.

There was a crash and I turned around and saw yellow lightening going around and around the living room, breaking everything.

((Keep in mind everyone, Shaylea doesn't know Barry is the flash, and Barry doesn't know about her powers either.))

"Shaylea Gray, stay away from the flash." A voice boomed around the room.

------

"Hey, Shaylea? Do you know where my makeup is?" My mother shouted.

"Mom, you're just meeting a few of my friends, you're not going in a date." I chuckled.

"I know, but I still would like to look good for your friends. What if they don't like me?" She was mumbling.

"Mom, don't be crazy. You're my mother, they will love you."

My mother and I was going to meet Caitlin, Cisco, and Barry at jitters so thy could finally talk and actually get to know each other.

"Are you ready yet?" I hollered at my mom while I was putting my shoes on.

She walked in the room in a nice pair of jeans and light green top, making her eyes pop.

"Yeah," she looked at my left foot, the one without a shoe, "the question is, are you ready?"

I rolled my eyes, slipped on my shoe, and stood, "alright let's go."

As we walked slowly among the busy people of central city, I saw a yellow figure in the distance on top of a building. I felt my heart start to race. I looked away hoping it was just my mind playing tricks on me, then I felt myself hit a wall, very hard.

The last thing I remember was my mother's crys as I felt myself slip away.
