2 years later

Gabby looked down as the eyes of gorgeous man looked right back at her with an attractive smile on his face. She blushed turning back to the repair man who was fixing her Red Range Rover.

"Ms. Jones, it wasn't anything special. Just needed a little oil."The mechanic, Mike answered her taking off his dirty clothes and stuffing them into his uniform pocket.

"So, Esther is ready to run again?"Gabby smiled happy she could make it on time to her appointment. "Yes, that would be 10."He smiled. "Here keep the change."She smiled handing him a twenty. He thanked her as she got ready to get in her truck.

"Hey, my name is Jake and I was wondering if you would like to go out to dinner sometime?"The guy from earlier asked. Gabby smiled writing down her number on a piece of paper and handing it to him. "The names Gabby. I'm free this Saturday."She gave the blue-gray eyed man a flirtatious smile.

"Nice, I'll pick you up at 8."He smiled ruffling through his dark brown hair. Gabby drove away heading to her appointment. She was a marriage counselor. She helped people cope with the breaking points of their marriage.

She loved her job. She loved to give advice and stop people from making a regret they would live with. She just couldn't see families break apart. She lived alone but she something in her just couldn't stand the idea.

She made it just in time with a few minutes to spare. She fixed her skirt and applied some more lipstick before her clients came in. Some were couples and others were single. They either didn't wish to have their spouse know or they just had a very low level in a marriage where the spouse refused to come.

Either way she helped them all. She gave them strategies and perspectives for them to ponder on. They always came back to thank her but she would always humble herself and tell them it was all them.

Saturday (outfit on top)

"A little too much?"Gabby asked her neighbor Flinn who was nice enough to house sit her house for the night. He looked from the tv and at her in shock. "You should of told him to bring condoms after sending your address."He commented.

Gabby rolled her eyes at her crazy friend. "Thanks for letting me stay over. I'll pay my cable next week."He thanked her as she turned around to walk away.

"It's no big deal. I know how crazy guys get over entertainment."She flashed him a smile as the door rung. "Should I inspect the date? I wouldn't want you getting raped or killed or worse married."He joked at the end him gasping in disbelief.

"Stay here, weirdo. See you later."She called out laughing a little. "Bye, use protection."He called back before she opened the door.

She smiled to see Jake with a dashing smile. "Wow, you look....stunning, Ms. Jones."Jake took a look of her. Gabby blushed looking down to her heels. "You don't look bad yourself."Gabby smirked fixing his blue tie. He wore a gray tuxedo with a dark blue tie and shirt.

They made their way to Red Lobster. Gabby's favorite resturant in the world where she hinted to Jake a couple of times when they talked to each other. She had become fond of the blue eyes he had. They seemed almost familiar and for some reason she loved that most about him.

She probably knew him from another life which made that even more possible that they could be meant together. She was twenty-four and no one has even been able to spark her interest.

He seemed welcoming and safe. She felt her heart race everytime he would leave her a message or call her. He had a crazy shift then her with him working as a police officer. He was so sweet and funny. He made her smile.

"Oh come on. What is that?"Gabby pouted as he drove down Broadway Ave. "I wasn't that much of looker in my younger years."Jake admits blushing as he took his eyes off her.

"I promise not to laugh."She pouted but he knew her. She was going to laugh maybe even harder. "Awh, please. You probably was an amazing baby."Gabby pouted at his debating expression.

Without much thinking he gave her his picture. The only picture he had of himself. "Wow, you were so adorable!"She squealed. "No! My cheeks were chubby Gabs."Jake complained. "Mr. Riley, you were just the cutest."She teased as they found a table. They ordered their meal and drinks before Jake decided to tell her a secret of his.

"Wanna know something?"He asked as she gave him an confused expression. "Sure."She smiled. "Well, I'm adopted or was. That picture is the only thing I have of my real family."He confesses. Gabby looked at him in shock.

She placed her small hand on top of his. He looked down at their hands and took his hand in hers feeling a blush across his cheeks. "If it makes it any better. I have no recall of my actual family either."She admits.

Jake smiles. "Maybe one day we go mystery family searching together? See where it takes us?"He suggested. "That does seem awesome but I'm not all that curious. I know they are in California but I believe I moved here for a reason."She shrugged.

"Well, maybe only to find me."Jake teased and Gabby started laughing. "You have the worst jokes."She laughed. "You always seem to laugh at them though."He smirked. "Well yeah, because I have a horrible sense of humor."She smiled as their plates came.

They began to eat before an idea popped in her head. "You have to try my dish."She pleaded. "What? No, you have cooties on your fork."Jake spoke in a childish tone. She laughed rolling her eyes. "Or you are just too scared to admit who has the best food taste."She shrugged it off.

She knew he could never take down a challenge. "Fine, here. He dipped his fork into his lobster fettuccine. She smiled and stood up a little to lean over the table and eat his dish. She moaned lightly in delight. It was Red lobster. Of course it was delicious.

"Here is my shrimp seafood trio."She picked up her fork as he tasted her first batch. She gave him some of the last two and he nodded. "That was very delicious. Lobster is my favorite though."He smiled digginging into his plate.

"You're right. I might have to steal your plate when you go run to the gentlemen's room."She teased. He stopped eat and shook his head. "Not only are you smart and beautiful but you are hilarious. How are you not married?"He asked.

"I know right?"She agreed in a playful tone. He laughed again and she followed. Wow, complete crazy in public.
