Puerto Rico
"Wow, even name tags."Carrie mumbles rolling her eyes at the set up of the dinning table. It was a huge one so these decorations must of been spent with alot of time. "It's beautiful. I love blood red and white colors."Gabby smiled to Caroline who thanked her.
"By the way, Jake helped out with the dinner. He's a wonderful cook from what I heard."Caroline smirked at Gabby. "He's more of an Italian cook. I never tasted his burgers and fries before."She smiled at Jake.
"I always only cook it because it's romantic and it sets the atmosphere."Jake smiled drinking some of his water. "Wow. Damon only cooked chicken nuggests for our dates."Elena laughs. "That's not even a shock."Bonnie laughs along with Enzo.
"At least I can cook."Damon defends himself. "Putting something frozen in the oven doesn't count."Stefan laughed. "Oh come on, at least I try."Damon rolled his eyes. "At least they cook. You should see Alaric with any type of cooking. He almost set his house on fire with the oven trying to bake me apology cookies and had to call me and tell me about him waking up 3 hours later on them baking."Jo laughed.
Everyone began laughing. "Really? My own wife is helping you guys pick at me."He shakes his head eating a fry. "It's hard to keep secrets like that. I don't understand. You fall asleep on baking cookies."She laughed.
"I swear Americans have the worse timing. I've been cooking since I was thirteen and have been sucessful every since."Enzo smirked. "That would explain the overcooked noodles you made last week because you have all the time in the world."Bonnie crossed her arms.
"I'm going to keep my mouth shut so I don't get bashed."Jake chuckled to Gabby who was flushed. "Jo, do you remember teaching Kai how to cook? He was 16 and didn't know what to do if it wasn't microwaveable."Gabby laughed.
"He put a pot of cake mix in the oven. He waited for the mix to bake for two hours without realizing you have to turn on the stove and the pot isn't what cake mix bakes in."Jo laughed.
Kai blushed at his being the worst. "It was your birthday cake. The red velvet recipe book wasn't as detailed as I wanted it to be."He chuckles. "It was my first time baking anything."He shrugs.
"I'm sure you're better right?"Bonnie asked with a smug grin. "Oh, no. I can only make spaghetti after so many tries with Gabs."He replies. "You should of seen the second attempt at fry chicken tenders."Jo laughed really hard.
Gabby grasp turning to Kai who was flushed. She went too far. "Now that should of never been brought up."Gabby laughed recalling the memory. "I'm not listening. I dont want too."Kai started eating as he pulled out his cell phone and put in his war phones.
"Now, I got to know."Damon snickered along with Enzo. "He was never really one to ask for help. So he cut the chicken breast fine. He had the pan of oil right but instead of seasoning the chicken tenders and cooking it on the stove...he decided it was best to put the chicken tenders in the oil without flour just raw and place it in the oven."Jo explained.
"That was when we were eighteen. Me and Josette went shopping with Joshua's ex-wife leaving Kai to babysit and Kai was paging me all day so when I got back to him I told him to whip up dinner and then when we got home...we got surprised."Gabby adds.
"God, talk about failure."Carrie finished her burger. "Yeah, that's horrible."Caroline agreed shaking her head. "I mean at least it didn't burn down right?"Stefan asked defending Kai. He found it mean that they all teamed up on the weird outcast psychopath who had horrible cooking skills.
"Says the one who's good at everything."Caroline states rolling his eyes. "Hey, I've had centuries to be awesome."Stefan smiles being humble as usual. "You know, you may have lived for centuries but I'm positive you haven't mastered twister or sky diving or even scuba diving as I have. I've been alive for eighty years and I'm positive I can beat you."Carrie smirked.
