"I'm sorry, Ms. Jones but I have to get back."Jake spoke after replying to a call. "No, it's fine. Officer Riley."She smiled giving him a quick kiss before finishing up her sandwich. "Tonight my place. I'm cooking."He told her before getting into his truck.

Gabby smiled before getting up to leave the park. A couple bickering walks up to her as she packed all her things. "Hi, Ms. Jones."Elena calls out making her turn around. Gabby gives them a confusing look.

"We were just at that stare down across the street when the cashier referred us to you. We heard you do marriage counseling and we were wondering if we could get your information."Elena smiled.

Gabby smiled back. "Oh, yes. Here is my card. Feel free to let me know a week in advance for an appointment."She replied as Damon tried to hold Elena's hand. Elena smile dropped and her eyes rolled. She took her hand out of his hold and reached for the card.

"Thank you. We are Elena and Damon Salvatore."Damon spoke up forgetting how hard it was to not just simply kidnap someone. "Okay, call me when you guys can agree on a day. Bye."Gabby smiled before walking off.

"So, why is she dating a Kai lookalike? Are they like meant to be or soemthing?"Damon asked very confused. "This one is a police officer. He's pretty hot too."Elena smiled watching Gabby drive off.

"Hey, I'm the hot one, Mrs. Salvatore."Damon eyed her. Elena laughed at his jealousy. "It's not a Mrs. Salvatore without the traditional wedding process."She crossed her arms. "Well, you will always be Mrs. Salvatore to me."He smiled pressing his lips onto her head.

She smiled grabbing his hand and walking back to the car. "Come on, Damon. We gotta tell Stefan."She smiled. "Of course."Damon rolled his eyes. "It's a good thing we aren't human. We could never have relationship issues."He smiled.

"Of course. We are stuck together forever."She kissed his cheek before starting the car.

Dinner

"Hmm...Gone with the Wind? Pride and Prejudice? The Color Purple?"Gabby questioned his movie collection. "You know. If I didn't find you so perfect I would consider us best friends."He laughed stirring up the boiling pasta.

"I don't know. I'm starting question your movie taste."She crinkled her nose letting out a small laugh. Jake bit his lip as he checked on the garlic bread. "The classics are the best. I'm an emotional man."He admits earning a giggle from Gabby.

"And that's beautiful. I love it."She smiled. Her back was to him so he blushed freely. "The food smells delicious. I didn't know you had it in you."She turned around finding the perfect movie.

"Well, there certainly are many hidden talents under all this strong exterior."He smirked. Gabby rolled her eyes taking a seat at the island. "I can tell, what made you decide to become a cop?"She asked as he turned off the stove and took out the bread.

"I love to fight crime. Batman has basically shaped my life."He confesses. "Well, I've always loved the idea of helping people. I love families so I try to keep them together."She reveals.

They made their way to couch where Gabby put in her favorite classic Meet Joe Black. "I thought you were more of a The Notebook woman."Jake smiled. She began to end giving him quick kiss.

She was happy this way. She didn't know if she's ever been this happy in her life. He was fun and adventurous. They were planning on hiking in a few months when Jake would have a week off. For some reason she felt as if she could talk to him about anything.

Jake felt different with Gabby with made it all the much harder to be honest with her. He was honest with her except with the one thing he should of told her except he didn't know how to bring it up to the energetic 25 year old.

He knew he would have to but he actually enjoyed her, she was full of light. He never had to wonder how anyone would react to his hidden self. Would she run from the monster that was within him?
