Chapter 54

Cara's POV

I walked over to the door of my apartment while hearing continuos knocks on the door. The knocking stopped when I turned the door knob slightly. I opened the door, revealing a blonde lady wearing a black sleeveless crop top high waisted joggers and a pair of trainers. She had her hair tied up to a pony tail with her phone on her hand and her car keys dangling outside of her pocket.

"GIGI!!!" Kendall shouted as she ran towards the girl who was standing beside me, who I know now, is Gigi Hadid.

"I missed you Ken!" Gigi mumbled with her face buried on Kendall's shoulders as they embraced. "Are you okay?" Gigi asked Kendall, worry in her voice.

"Yeah, i'm alright now." Kendall let go of Gigi and smiled at her. "This is Cara." Kendall then introduced me right then after I closed the door

Gigi showed me her hand, asking for a hand shake but I slapped it off and hugged her. I knew Gigi was shocked but I immediately spoke.

"I don't do formal." I gave Gigi a smirk.

Gigi smiled and Kendall introduced her to me. "This is, obviously, Gigi."

"Wait, hold up." Gigi spoke, holding my wrist and Kendall's. "What are you two exactly?" She asked.

"Humans." I jokingly said, which earned me a frown from Gigi.

"No really, like are you guys friends or?" Gigi questioned us.

"We're friends with benefits." Kendall spoke huskily while wiggling her eyebrows at me.

"WHAT?!" Gigi accidentally raised her voice, shocked. "Sorry... Wait really?" She asked.

"No." I spoke.

"Cara, seriously..." Gigi eyed me.

"Yeah seriously!" I crossed my heart as Gigi let go of both our wrists.

"Then what?" Gigi asked, determined to get the answer this time. "Spill." She added crossing her arms.

"She's my girlfriend Gi." Kendall spoke. She called me her girlfriend. My heart was doing a million skips inside of me.

"You're joking?" Gigi looked at Kendall with a frown.

Kendall gave her a straight face, making Gigi realize that she wasn't joking at all.

"Oh my fucking god." Gigi dropped down, kneeling on the floor. "Alleluia!" Gigi grabbed Kendall's hand and grabbed one of mine too. "KENDALL HAS A REAL GIRLFRIEND!!!" Gigi screamed at the top of her lungs, making me jump.

"GI!!!" Kendall cupped Gigi's mouth with her free hand, and I did too, making my hand lie on top of Kendall's. "SHHH!!!" Kendall shushed Gigi.

"Sowwy." Gigi mumbled under our hands.

Gigi stood up and let go of us, plopping down on the couch.

"How was the adventure in Kendall's past Cara?" Gigi asked me.

"It was horrible really, like her parents..." I shook my head with a frown plastered on my face. "Dear lord." I added.

I walked over to the fridge, taking two beer bottles while Kendall sat beside Gigi.

"So i've heard." Gigi spoke as I handed her a beer bottle. She waved her hand signaling to me that she'll pass with the beer.

I turned to Kendall who nodded and took the beer bottle from my hand.

"How are you guys planning to tell her parents." Gigi gestured at Kendall.

"We don't know yet Gi." Kendall spoke, sadness in her voice.

"But, I know we can get through this." I spoke, encouraging Kendall. "I won't give up. No matter what happens." I finished, sipping on my beer.

"Hopefully your parents learned their lesson and finally budge." Gigi rolled her eyes in disgust.

"Yeah, hopefully..." Kendall sighed, tilting the beer bottle as the liquid flowed down her throat.

"You guys alright in here?" Gigi asked. "Cause i'll need to check in a hotel soon." Gigi continued.

"Yeah." I spoke. "We'll be alright." I smiled at Gigi, who nodded at me and gave me a smile.

"Well." Gigi gave a loud exhale. "I'll see you guys soon then." She continued, standing up and walking towards the door.

I walked with Gigi and opened the door for her.

"Sure you'll be alright Ken?" Gigi asked Kendall for the last time.

Kendall nodded, giving her friend an assuring smile.

Gigi waved goodbye to Kendall, said her goodbye to me and left my apartment. I closed the door and walked over to Kendall.

"We'll get through this, I promise." I told Kendall, assuring her that everything will be fine.

Kendall smiled at me and stood up. Taking a glass from the cupboards. She then mixed something up with water, I had no idea what because her back was facing me and she was doing it in front of her, blocking my view. I sighed, looking out the window. I closed my eyes and breathed in deep. I opened them and saw the moist glass windows, the air outside was cool, it was already nightfall.

I looked back at Kendall who was now walking back at me with a glass of green liquid in her hand. She handed it to me and simply said.

"Drink."

I looked at her with furrowed eyebrows but drank it then. It was good! It tasted like a mix of different berries.

"What's this?" I asked Kendall.

"Your medicine juice thingy, remember?"

I then recalled what it was and nodded at her.

She then brought out a bandage from her other hand, signaling for me to finish my drink. I chugged it down and placed the glass on the table. I looked at her and smiled, thinking of how lucky I was to have a girlfriend like her. She cared for me, and no matter how hard her life was, she didn't mind spending her days taking care of me.

She changed the bandage of my shoulder, after placing the medicine and kissed my cheek.

After awhile, we got into bed and Kendall was fast asleep. Her light snores filled the room. Her head was on my shoulder, causing me to feel her soft breathing on my neck. It was soothing, it made me calm and in no time, my eyelids were beginning to shut down.

I looked over at Kendall and whispered to her, even though she couldn't hear me in her deep slumber.

"We'll fix this."

I kissed her forehead and held her hand as everything faded to darkness.
