Chapter 22

Cara's POV

I arrived at the restaurant's doorstep and pushed open the door. I searched for Taylor amongst the different crowd's in the room. I spotted her then, my eyes landed on Taylor who was wearing a cropped top and a high waisted skirt. Her hair was neatly combed and a headband held her hair. Taylor waved her hand to acknowledge me and I waved mine back at her. I walked towards Taylor whose grin slowly disappeared as she searched, I guess, for Kendall. I noticed that there were three empty seats rounding the table. I sat on one of the seats beside her as she looked at me with a curious look displayed on her face.

"Where's Harry?" I asked, ignoring the look on her face.

"Where's Kendall?" She backfired.

"We had a little argument." I looked down as I spoke. "So she told me to go by myself." I continued with bad taste on my mouth.

"Oh, sorry about that." Taylor apologized with her eyebrows furrowed.

"It's alright." I mumbled.

"Harry's in the bathroom." Taylor informed me.

"Alright." I said as I looked up and gave her a weary smile.

"Hey why don't you take your order already?" Taylor said as she handed me the menu on the table.

"Okay, thanks." I said. As I was about to take the menu from her hands, I noticed that there were scars on her wrist. Instead of taking the menu my hand shifted to grabbing her arm.

"What the fuck happened to you?!" I slightly shouted.

Taylor struggled to pull away from my grasp but I held her arm tight. "Just cat scratches." She lied.

"I know very well those aren't just cat scratches Tay." She still struggled, wiggling her arms to pull free from my grasp. "Tell me the truth." I commanded, giving her a glare.

"Let me go Cara!" She screamed causing a commotion.

"Not until you tell me who did that!" I shouted at her, ignoring the different people that watched us both. Ignoring the people who thought I was harassing her.

"Cara let me g-"

"Let her go you bitch!" I hit my head hard on the ground realizing that someone had just pushed me off from my seat.

There were people screaming around me. I heard tables and chairs screeching on the wooden floor. Glasses and ceramics breaking, metals clanking on the floor. "Harry no!" I recognized Taylor's muffled voice as she screamed at him.

Him. Him. Harry. That motherfucker. He's that guy who dated Kendall before! The one I had a fight with! That asshole. I thought to myself as I shook my head, shaking off the migraine.

I sat up and felt my head banging. I placed both my palms on either side of my temple, preventing myself from blacking out. I blinked my eyes open and I saw Harry and Taylor arguing. Harry grabbed her arms while he mercilessly pulled and pushed her around. I couldn't take it anymore, as soon as I saw Taylor get pushed on the ground while Harry grabbed a knife from the scattered utensils on the floor, I stood up and grabbed Harry's wrist. He turned his head to take a look at me and immediately elbowed my stomach. My stomach churned and so I placed my hands on it. I then charged at Harry who was about to give Taylor another one of her scars. He moved around as he struggled to release from me. He then grabbed my arms and flipped me over, which made me land head first, flat on the floor. I stood back up, and with my last bit of strength I was about to land my fist on his stomach but he was faster. He stopped my fist and suddenly after, I felt an extreme flow of pain all over me.

I stumbled, lost strength and fell on the floor with my left hand on my right arm. My eyesight started to blur, but I looked over to my right shoulder, slightly removing my hand from it, I saw blood on my hands and saw the knife Harry was holding dangling on my right shoulder. I pulled the knife off which again caused extreme pain, but I had lost enough blood that I didn't even have the strength to scream. I then allowed my head to fall back on the floor. The last thing I saw was Taylor rushing towards me with a scar on her lip, dialing a number on her phone and after then, I blacked out.
