"Wake up, you stupid idiot! You have school today!"

I could literally hear my alarm mocking in my sleep, to wake up, but I didn't feel like going to school, or even going anywhere else except the bed.

Eventually, I got tired of my alarm and slammed my hand on the snooze button. Just that small action forced my body to wake up. I officially couldn't sleep anymore, just because I pressed the snooze button.

I yawned and stretched before getting out of bed, and when I did, I mentally laughed at the fact that I slept in my school clothes and shoes. I took a quick shower, and ate the breakfast my mom had set on the table. I couldn't get myself to actually concentrate on anything. My eyes seemed heavy, and my body wanted to get some more rest.

"Ms. Williams? Wake up." A familiar voice rang through my thought-filled head. Wake up? What did they mean by wake up? I'm awake right now, aren't I?

"This is the 4th time this month! What is the matter with these two?" The voice still continued to ramble on.

I tried to cover my ears, but as soon as I did, I felt a rough pair of hands remove them. "Wha-" I was cut off when I finally opened my eyes and realized that I had dozed off on one of Mr. Lancer's pop quizzes.

The seats in front of me were empty, so I assumed the whole class had already left, and I was left behind. I looked around anyways and found that I wasn't the only one who had been left behind.

"Mr. Fenton? Mr. Fenton! Wake up!" Lancer screamed out of annoyance. Danny had been drooling all over his test, and had made one of those saliva bubbles as he inhaled and exhaled.

I wanted to burst out in laughter at the sight of that, but that would've caused Lancer to have a heart attack, or something like that, and that would result in me being sent to the principal's office. Then they would lecture me on why I shouldn't laugh, when clearly laughing is good for health, and they would probably use some mind control to prevent me from laughing ever again.

Danny's saliva bubble snapped and he looked up at Lancer, "Wha-" He looked around, and as soon as his eyes met with mine, he knew that we were in for another one of Lancer's stupid punishments again.

"I am not impressed with the amount of work being submitted from both of you. This is the 4th time this month you have both dozed off on one of my History lessons! It is truly heartbreaking for your parents to hear that you two wouldn't like to learn the History of our beautiful country!" Lancer looked at both of us sternly, and Danny and I glanced over at each other.

"But Mr. Lancer, if it's heartbreaking for our parents to hear that we wouldn't like to learn the History of our beautiful country, then don't tell them that. Tell them that we would like to learn about the History of our beautiful country, that way, everyone is happy." Danny tried to work a slight smile, but if looks could kill, Lancer would've definitely won that battle.

Lancer cleared his throat, clearly unimpressed at Danny's suggestion, "Life is simply not that easy, Danny. We cannot just lie to your parents like that, when clearly they can tell when their child does not wish to learn the History of our country."

"If we can't lie to my parents, then why can't just you lie to my parents about that?" Danny grinned. He probably knew just how much he was getting on Lancer's nerves.

"Mr. Fenton, you clearly do not understand the boundaries of what I can do, and what I can't do." Lancer paced back and forth in the front of the class.
