Chapter 18

Danny

Per usual, after far more than needed veggie and meat burger fights, we all headed home. I figured that Rose needed to see her family as soon as possible. I'm not exactly sure if the hospital will be outraged with me since I kinda 'stole' Rose without checking her out at the front office, or anything.

After the trio had left, and the Nasty Burger had closed for the day, I looked around, making sure there was no one around. "Uh, Danny?" Rose asked, and I diverted my attention back to her.

"Yeah?"

"Why are you looking around?" Rose raised a brow.

"Because no one can know that I'm-" I stopped mid-sentence. "Ohh, right." I slapped my hand over my eye and chuckled. I still can't believe most of all of the world knows who I am now, and even I myself forgot it.

She giggled at me, and as I turned to look at her, I felt a slight tug at my heart. The one that missed hearing her laugh, or see her smile in general. Instinctively, the corners of my mouth formed a smile, as I ran my fingers through my hair.

In a flash of bright light, the familiar light blue rings engulfed me as I transformed from Fenton into Phantom in an instant.

I swept Rose off her feet by carrying her bridal style in my arms. "So, just to show that I'm not a bad person, how about we make a quick pit stop to my house?" I began to speed off towards my house. "'Cause I might or might not have told my parents I sent you into a coma..." I chuckled nervously.

"Okay, fine. But only because I'm nice." Rose pointed her finger at me, and put on a serious expression. Moments later, she couldn't hold it in and started laughing. "Yeah, let's go."

I smiled at her before making a quick, sharp turn onto our block and landing, transforming to my human form on my way down.

I let her down as she curtsied, lifting her imaginary skirt and tipping her invisible hat at me. "Thank you, sir." She said in a British accent.

"No, thank you for flying Fenton Airlines. All expenses paid. I only ask for a single kiss from your lips as a tip." I grinned at her.

She gave me a quick peck on my lips, as she giggled and we made our way inside.

As soon as we stepped foot inside my house, a putrid scent filled my nostrils, as my eyes started to water.

"Aw ew! What is that horrific smell?!" I yelled.

"It smells like sh-" I slapped my hand over Rose's mouth.

"Swear jar." I raised an eyebrow at her and half-smiled teasingly.

At that same moment, my mom ran up to us, as I took my hand off her mouth. "Your father got..well..maybe you should see for yourselves.." She said awkwardly.

We walked into the kitchen to see my dad, covered in bird poop from head to toe.

Isn't that from when I froze time?

The funny part about being the only thing moving and flying at the same time, is that everyone looks like tiny, frozen ants, and that the birds in the sky are levitating in the same place. I even noticed one that was dropping a little surprise on the people down below.

Righhttt...

I guess there was more than one.

"I go to City Hall to defend my son, and instead, Vladdy sends his mutant birds to drop dung on me!" He yelled, raising his fist in the air. "Curse you, V Man!"
