Chapter Three

Reunion or Reminiscing?

It's 7:15 in the morning of a sunny monday. Such a good way to keep me from sticking up like glue on my bed. I just finished taking a quick bath; merely to take away the smell of the bed sheets from my body. It could be a little help to look like less stressed at work.

After leaving the bathroom, binuksan ko 'yung mini drawer under my bed para kunin 'yung hair dryer na binili sa'kin ni Jeremy for my last birthday. Nasira kasi 'yung dati kong hair dryer dahil sa kanya, hindi ko nga alam kung anong kalokohan ang ginawa niya doon at nasira na lang bigla. So anyway, I'm here in front of my make-up desk blow drying my hair until I heard the acoustic beginning of Coldplay's Yellow on my cellphone. I quickly snatched my phone from the edge of my bed and looked who was calling.

Diana Calling...

Whoa, such a surprise.

"Hey," I said right after pressing the answer button on my phone.

"Zoe!!!!!!!"

She still hasn't changed.

Diana is my first ever college buddy, she was there for me from day one of my college days, and vice versa. Kahit na nagshift siya from an information tech student to Dentistry, we still remained friends. I wonder why she called all of a sudden and add the fact that wala talaga siyang pahinga sa hospital na pinapasukan niya.

"Oh bakit?!" I yelled back.

To be honest, para kaming mga bingi na naguusap sa phone.

"Echosera 'to. Hindi ka ba nagbabasa ng group chat natin sa facebook?"

"Haven't you forgot-" I was about to say something but she interrupted me.

"Ah yes, oo nga pala, you've deactivated since you and Troy broke-"

"So, what's the fuss about?" I cutted her.

"Magkakaroon daw kasi tayo ng mini get together, us college buddies."

"Kailan naman and where?"

Napatingin ako saglit sa wall clock ko and shit it's getting late already, I have to be in the office at 8:30. I immediately turned my phone to speaker and dropped it on my desk so I could finish doing my hair and makeup while talking to this biatch.

"Sa mini gazebo daw ni rich kid AKA Valerie sa tagaytay," she said in a melodic tone.
