I was walking down the street for the five millionth time today.

I didn't have anything to do and ponyboy was at school.

"Hey Ari!" I hear a familiar voice from behind me.

I turn around and see Johnny running up to me.

When he catches up he almost falls, I help him stand back up and gasp once I look at him.

"Oh my god Johnny what happened?!"

He has a black eye, blood running down the cut on his forehead and a bloody, busted lip.

"M-My parents" he gulps.

"We gotta get you home.." I say and he leans on me for support as we got to my house.

I help him sit on the couch and take out my first-aid kit from the medicine drawer.

"You gotta tell someone about this, Johnnycake." I sigh and dab the blood off of his face.

"No, I can't. I don't wanna be stuck in some boys home"

"You can stay with me, or the Curtis home." I mumble as I finished cleaning up his cuts.

He all of a sudden takes off his shirt, revealing a huge cut all across his back.

"Oh my god, Johnny.." I cover my mouth with my hand.

"P-Please help.." He says and collapses on to the couch again.

I clean up his cut but I can't close it.

"I-I don't have stitches.. But I bet Darry does, stay here and I'll be right back.."

I run out of the house, the Curtis house is about 4 houses away.

I knock on their door and Dally opens it.

"Oh hey kid, what's up?" He asks.

"Do you have any string and a needle for stitches?" I ask and he raises his eyebrow.

"Why? You ok kid?" He checks me for anything.

"No it's not me.. It's Johnny" I say and his eyes turn as big as saucers.

He runs in the house and grabs the first aid kit. "Where is he?"

"Cmon" I say and we start running to my house.

We get there and see Johnny passed out on the couch, his wound started bleeding again.

"Oh fuck, Johnny.." Dally goes on his knees next to Johnny.

"He'll be alright, he was really tired.." I say and take out the needle and the string.
_______

"Ok I'm done.." I say and wipe off the remaining blood.

Dally carries Johnny upstairs and I plop down on the couch.

I hope he'll be alright.
