You watch as Cadenza and her guards come running out of the surrounding woods. They take stance, waiting to see what Aphmau will do.

"Hello, Cadenza, how are you?" Aphmau asks in a wicked tone. You think she's up to something. Her grip tightens on the knife.

"I'm quite fine, but you look a bit strange today," Cadenza replies, "Are you doing alright?"

"I'm good. Except your brother left me for this- this INSERT LATER," Aphmau says in disgust. You watch as Laurance growls, morphing.

He is now a full shadow knight. And an angry one at that.

Cadenza takes the opportunity and rushes toward Aphmau, allowing you to get free and grab your daggar. Laurance charges at Aph. Though you can sense the reluctance in his eye, he knows that he must protect Nina and yourself.

Metal clashes and I hear a grumble of an argument. More villagers arrive with weapons to fight for their cause.

Protecting the outlaws.

You hold your stance as the population Phoenix Drop advances. Eventually, they all break into a run, charging, faster and faster toward you. They are here. You block a strike from Dante with your daggar. You grab the sword, pulling it away.

"I don't want to fight you! I thought we were friends," you say, pleading him to help you stop this mess. Wheat rustles around you as people fall. You wish you knew who's side they were on.

"You made your decision when you left Phoenix Drop. You even kidnapped a child! Your lover's child!" Dante says, somehow gaining his sword back while you stand shocked. The battle seems to go quiet around you, though you know everything is loud as ever. You knew you did this. You chose to run. Yet, you still stand awestruck. A person who you called a friend... he'd think so lowly of you?!

He takes his swing while you're staring off into space. He plunges his sword into your leg, making you fall to the ground in pain.

"I'm sorry," he says before running off to join in tone of the other battles.

Your blisters are going crazy, itching more than ever as you lie there in the wheat field. Your vision is blurring, going black... Your last moment of vision is of Laurance morphing back and looking at you with crazed, worried eyes. He begins to run over to you, and... nothing.
