The figure in the door in Laurance. He staggers over to Aphmau and you. "What are you doing here?" he asks. The ice in his voice cuts through you. You suppose that you hurt him. Not enough for him to hate you, right? Your voice catches in your throat. What should you say to the man that broke you? What can you say? "Papa!" Nina exclaims from a corner. The poor thing must be so confused, all the crying. She runs over, and hugs her. "Hello, bunny. Why don't you go play with uncle Dimitri?" he says. As if you're not even in the room. The tears you've held back for so long finally escape my eyes. Laurance turns to me. "I tried to wait," he stifled himself. Aphmau quietly shuffled out of the house to find Nina, or something. You take a step toward him. He takes a step back, "No. If you come any closer I won't be able to stay," he says. Panic fills his eyes. "Things are so easy here." You back away. "I want you to be happy, I'll go." you say. He grabs your hand as you walk out. "Easy isn't always the best way to live. You have to take risks. You have to be able to start, to change," he says. "Well make up your mind. You know I'm not one to be patient," you reply. You aren't. You were stupid enough not to wait for an apology. Not to wait. You're guilty too. "I miss you. I miss us," you say, "but if you're happier here than with me, then so be it." He looks at you with a mournful eye, "I don't know, Y/N, I just don't know." A single tear fell from his cheek. "I'll be somewhere..." You say. Being honest with yourself you weren't being cryptic. You honestly don't know where you are going. Just away from here.
