Bzzt! Bzzt!

Bzzt! Bzzt!

The coach rubbed her eyes, her sleepiness beginning to fade as her phone continued to rumble.

Sitting up, Riko grabbed the device.
"He's already up? " She mumbled, sounding a bit impressed. Without looking, she could already tell who the messages were from.

Fr: Murasakibara Atsushi
Sub: good morning

Pudding is good but maibou still wins.

Riko held her laughter in.
"Like a child seriously..."
With an excited smile upon her face, she typed her reply.

"What are you smiling about so early this morning, Riko-tan?"

The girl looked up in surprise.
"Papa..didn't I tell you to knock?"

The older brunette crossed his arms and began to pout.
"I did, Riko-tan! But you didn't answer! And when I open the door I see you happily texting someone.." Her father complained. But as soon as the thought of his daughter smiling like an angel because of one message processed in his mind, he stopped.

"Riko-tan, who is that you're texting?"

Seeing where the situation was going, Riko put away her phone in her pocket.
"I'm gonna be late if I don't hurry to school now! So bye, Dad!" said Riko hurriedly.

"But Riko—"

"Sorry, Papa! No time to talk!"

Riko swiftly escaped her room and prepared for school, leaving her father in wonderment and suspiciousness. She decided it was better to leave him in that state rather than leaving him to wonder why in the world she was constantly texting a first year from Yosen.

After successfully avoiding her father's unnecessary, overdramatic rants, Riko's morning went rather smoothly. Everything was just as before, only now she payed more attention to her cellphone.

"Hey, Riko."

The girl could feel her heart twinge. It was like a knife had pricked at a newly stitched wound.

"Yeah, Teppei?"

"So...An-chan (RANDOM NAME FOR TEPPEI'S GF YAAY NO ONE CARES, her name will probably constantly change depending if I care enough to remember her name ;P) and I are planning our first overnight trip."

The knife cut open one of the stitches, allowing a crimson drop to fall out.

"Wow! Moving fast I see." She snickered in attempt to hide the growing pain.

"Well, it has been two months." He said with a red face. The boy rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

"But I'm nervous...what if I unintentionally push her away?" He sighed.

Riko's heart sunk, realizing his growing affections for his lover. Unconsciously, she began to compare herself with his girlfriend.

Sure when they were secretly together, he never had to worry about anything besides keeping their relationship a secret. But with her, he was worrying about everything. He was afraid of ruining their relationship.
