Charlie opened the cage door and went to pick me up but stopped. "How did you-?" I know he was going to ask how I healed so quickly but I just pretended to be asleep.

He picked me up and cradled me out of the room. Diana was screaming loudly to Charlie about 'noises' she over heard in my cage and how it sounded oddly close to a, well vampire.

Charlie ignored her and took me out of the hell hole they call the dungeon room. I felt safe in Charlie's arms, I snuggled closer to him and he rocked me gently back and forth. "That will never happen again Chloe, I promise."

I tried to stop the small smile the played on my lips without Charlie seeing. "You faker you're not asleep!" I giggle slightly and he just shook his head clicking his tongue on the top of his mouth.

"Chloe Chloe Chloe, what will I do with you?"

I peeked an eye open and his eyes were shinning down at me. "Maybe if you let me eat something." My stomach grumbling right in time.

Charlie smiled and set me down on the ground and grabbed my small hand and placed it in his large one. It wasn't a romantic gesture but it still spread warmth to my face.

"You must be starving!" He lead me to the kitchen and as soon as I stepped in the room all eyes were on me. Rosie's familiar ones landed on me and a small smile feel upon her face. She patted the seat next to her and I walked around the many tables to reach hers.

I looked around the room a bit checking out the others here. They all had they're eyes dead set on me, a few whispering back and forth and some putting their child behind them. I looked down at the metal table and Rosie put her hand gently on top of mine. "Ignore them Chloe, they're not used to nice pretty girls."

I smiled at that and Charlie gave her a smirk. "She's right, normally it's people like Diana who's pretty and mean or Rosie who nice and-" Charlie didn't finish because Rosie slammed a hard punch onto him.

He chuckled and then his eyes zoned out as if he was teleported to another world.

"He's mind linking the cook." Rosie spoke up. "When you see someone zone out like that, it means they're having a conversation through thought with another wolf, but this is only possible if the wolf is in your pack."

I nodded my head like I understood but I was still greatly confused. Charlie furrowed his eyebrows and then his eyes finally moved. "I gotta go deal with some problems at the border, the food will be out shortly."

He stood up and gave Rosie a kiss on the head and then gave me one and walked off. I felt my cheeks heat up again and Rosie giggled. "Trust me, the charm wears off once you get to know the turd."

I looked back down at the metal table. As if sensing my mood, she lifted up her big purse and dug through it making a lot of noise. I looked up to see her emptying some things out of it and I was surprised one purse could fit all of this stuff.

She finally found what she was looking for and started to place everything back in, with the awkward help of me handing her her 'special toys'. On a side note, don't forget to wash your hands later today Chloe!

She set the purse away and grabbed my arm roughly yanking it forward. "I want you to have this." She placed a small iPod into my hand and a pair of headphones and a charger with it.

I felt myself almost cry tears of happiness at the sight of technology, god I missed it.

"I know it might not be much but you can download any songs whenever you want just ask Charlie to do it and you can just put the headphone in when-"

"Thank you Rosie." I smiled at her and she seemed very pleased with herself.

A waiter appeared by our side and I couldn't help but notice the long flowing blonde curly locks that fell everywhere. "Here you go." She said shyly placing down our food.

Rosie glared harshly at her and she scampered away quickly. "Why the harsh look?" I asked her raising and eyebrow.

Rosie watched her as she ran off and took a deep breath. "She's human. She doesn't belong here." Rosie continued to glare in the direction of the blonde girl.

"I'm human too." I told Rosie without thinking.

Her head turned to me and a sad smile appeared. "I think we both know dear you're not."

Six months go by. Six months of training, sleeping next to Charlie, getting glares from Diana, putting in headphones blocking people out, late night dinners with Rosie, six months of the same thing.

I stood in front of the large mirror and looked back at the girl who stood staring in front of it. This girl was not me. My light brown hair was now a darker brown because Rosie felt it would be nice to change things up. My eyes still the same, bright color but so dull. I gained muscle where I had lost the weight and my skin was still pale, but I know it would never be tan again.

Six months ago when Rosie told me the truth about myself was the day I knew I could escape from here. I knew that now with my superhuman powers I can find the strength in me to run away, but where too?

I snuck countless books from the library into Charlie's room and then shoved them under the bed when he returned from guard duty. I studied where I was and the map of my surroundings, I watched the guards switch off every shift and tested the small time it took to switch off.

I packed a bag as well, a small brown bag that should have everything I need to get me to a train or a bus back home and back to my family.

I was planning on leaving tonight. I've spent six months planning for this lucky night. Tonight is the Prince's birthday.

The prince.

A man who I haven't seen for six months. He's like a ghost. I see a brief flash of his face when he gives speeches or when he walks by me in the hallways, but he never looks back at me. He continues as if I don't exist, as if I'm not his soulmate.

Yea, Rosie explained a few things to me.

I'm his mate and he can't live without me, I'm also the only one who can have his children and he plans on having them. Soon.

I shuddered at the thought of him using me. But was the shudder pleasure or pain I'll never know.

Because as much as I hate him from making me stay here, he's just as much as my soulmate as I am to him. And it sucks, badly.

I always pictured my perfect man, always pictured him meeting my parents and marrying me. But those dreams will never come true and it's all his fault, and the Monroe's. Stupid stupid vampire man.

I hated him with all I had, more than I hated the prince. Rosie and I did some research, I wanted to know the blood sucking bitch who took a bite out of me while I was sleeping. Seeing the smirking face of the tall man, I knew it was him who bit me.

Rosie was being very helpful with all that's been going on with me. She knows a lot of stuff about what to do with me and how much blood to give me, which she very generously gives hers up, I tried to fight her on this but man, A positive is delicious.

Rosie says I can't fully change into a full bleed vampire until I bite someone else and make them into a 'baby vampire' which is what I am right now. I still need blood but I'll also be able to age and die, but once I turn another ill be able to live for eternity.

My thoughts were interrupted with a large bang on the bathroom door.

"Come on I got to get you ready!" Rosie complained through the door. I closed my eyes tightly and opened the door smiling to her.

She set her stuff down on the counters and plugged in the curling iron. I sat down on the rolling chair and she clasped her hands together. "Let's get working!"
