"Sorry you're a what?" I nearly choked out the water she handed me.

"A witch, I can do spells and read people's thoughts, good thing I'm not sensitive, I wasn't very popular in high school you see." She laughed like what she was saying was funny. Maybe a little funny.

"Then you know that I-"

"Yes I could smell you the moment you came in here, but the other two are clueless, their smell isn't half as good as a witches." She started to peel the orange in front of her humming a song.

"Please don't tell anyone, I'm going to tell Peter on my own time I swear, but first I'm trying to find a cure, anything-"

"Oh honey pie, don't fret! I know a simple cure! Oh it's so easy especially for you!" She bobbed her head gently to the song she hummed. "You needs a sacrifice and a true loves kiss, silly I know, but easy enough."

"A sacrifice is not easy, who would be willing to give up their life for me?"

Ding ding ding.

Saying it out loud made the light bulb in my head go off. Looks like I'll be needing to talk to someone when we get back home.

"Maybe not, but true loves kiss is easy enough, I mean once his tylant is gone it will work, he can't truly love until it's gone. Which should be soon, I mean you called him Peter a few seconds ago, no one in six years has been aloud to call him that after his mother died."

Oh. I did call him Peter didn't I?

And I thought the sacrifice was the hard part, but convincing Peterson to give up his tyalnt for me is a whole other level of hard.

"Thank you for keeping it a secret." I suddenly felt a new trust for this woman. "I know you may not like keeping secrets from Phillip."

She started to laugh loudly and the two boys in the other room stoped talking for a second but only to start up again. "As if! I keep secrets from him all the time, well the packs secrets, nothing life or death of course, but small things yes. Not everything is mine to share." She started to munch on the oranges happily.

I cracked a smile at her quirky antics. "I actually have someone for you to meet!" She jumped up and grabbed my arm.

I almost fell on the floor but I straightened myself up only to be dragged once again to the upstairs,

"Vanessa! We have a guest!" Her voice yelled.

We stopped running up stairs- thank God! - and landed on the second floor of the house in front of a small door with a bunch of keep out signs all over the place.

The door creaked open and a dark haired girl stood in the crack of the door. "Yes hello I'm Vanessa so great to see you bye!" The door slammed shut and the mother closed her eyes impatiently.

"It's Chloe here!" She said again in a fake happy voice.

The door slammed open and Vanessa stood their with her mouth gaped open. "Oh hi! I didn't realize!" She shook my hand roughly and pushed me inside her room and before her mom could enter she slammed it shut locking it.

"You know your mom could just listen through the door right?" I raised an eyebrow at her.

"I made her spell prof this place from her being able to hear or read my thoughts, I need a little privacy and so she agreed." She sat on her bed and I noticed just how dark her room was.
