On Wattpad, your story needs to stand out. You need to
GET THEIR ATTENTION!!!

To help you do that, it helps to have a great blurb, a great cover, and a pithy title.
What's a blurb? Well it's the description of your book, and it's the first thing someone is going to see of your story probably. Indeed, they'll probably decide to try out your book based on what it says!
Here are some things you want:
Engaging structure. A mix of sentences, and a catchy opening line. You're trying to sell feelings. You're trying to get people to open the book.
Tell people why they should start. Relate to your reader. Think about your audience and what they might get out of this story.
Show what they're in for, long-term. What's your story really about?
Mentions awards if possible.Awards are good, right?
And be quick about it!
Here are some things you don't want:
Don't go into detail. Hints and innuendo often suffice. Say only what you need to intrigue!
Do not use jargon. (i.e. phrases that have unique meaning in your book, e.g. "waspers" to refer to a type of wizard)
