"It's a full moon" Alex mentioned to Ash.
"So?" I asked confused of the hidden message.
"It means we might unintentionally shift into our wolf forms, tonight" Ash filled me in.
"Anyways, continue with your plan, Miss Genius" Alex commented snobbishly.
"Okay Alex, here's your first mission. Distract the guards with a question. Ash and I will sneak through the front doors in seconds. After you become our outside watchdog and howl if guards suspect something" I say out loud my brilliant plan.
"Watchdog? Was that pun really necessary?" Alex gave me a deadpanned expression.
"Sorry, didn't even realize I said that. It slipped" I apologized.
"Hmpf" Alex rolled his eyes, not believing me.
Either way I continued my thought, "Ash will whistle, the one that only wolves can hear, when we get who we have to get"
"Ash, whistle as soon as you get Lydia" Alex demanded without hesitation.
"Alright" Ash nodded in agreement.
We were currently hiding behind the building, hidden by tall grass, only a few feet away from our targeted entrance.
"Go. The sooner the better" I ushered Alex out of our hiding.
Alex stumbled as he made his way towards the scary looking guards. Throwing me a semi-second glare, behind him.
I watched as Alex made an attempt to distract the guards. I used my super hearing to listen in on his conversation.
"Excuse me, sir?" Alex greeted.
"What is it boy? You can't be here" one the guards with black hair, answered.
"I was just wondering where's the nearest lake from here?"
"Down there" pointed the other guard with brown hair, in a direction opposite where I was, in response.
I tapped Ash's shoulder, motioning him to follow me. I was going to slip into a nearby opened window. Earlier I had spotted one at the rear of the building.
As I used my vampire speed to slip gracefully into the window, Ash was right behind my tail.
At one moment, somehow Ash's hand found my butt when I was halfway through the window.
"Hey!" I yelped, instinctively and forgot about not drawing attention.
"Sorry! I thought you would be in within a second" Ash muttered in a whisper, embarrassed.
I leaped into the room and turned around, giving Ash a narrow look as he made it into the room.
"What do we do now, Boss?" he gave a boyish grin.
I rolled my eyes, dismissing what had happened seconds before because we had more important things to do in little time.
"Let me concentrate. There's gotta be a vampire's mind that I can get some information about Darren or Oliver"
I realized we had slipped into a library study room, and anyone could suspect someone foreign on their grounds.
I closed my eyes and used my mind reading skills to read all thoughts within my distance.
"I could really go for a snack..."
"How much more time is there until my break..?"
