I paced the room nervously up and down. What just happened? "Well, Claire, you were just accused of stealing and cheating and God only knows what" I answered my own question. Mark is going to be so sorry when he figures out that he was wrong and that not only was I wrongly accused, but he destroyed something special that was starting to happen between us.

I sat on the couch, disappointed and sad. My head was full of questions: How did it happen? It can't really be my password that was used to log in. I looked at my watch and it was only 7AM, definitely too early to call Anna.

So I waited for couple of hours, thought things through and then finally called Anna. "I did NOT sell the story" I said as soon as she answered. "I would never do thing like that".

For a long five seconds, all I could hear was silence. Anna has to believe me!

"But how were your log in details used?" Anna was confused as well. "If this is some kind of revenge that you planned..."

I was shocked. "What? You know me better than that!" I raised my voice. "I would never betray Globe. Why would I?" I continued.

I could hear Anna taking in a deep breath, but she said nothing so I spoke again.

"I need to check with the IT. They are supposed to delete all profiles of staff that leave the job, right?" I asked.

"Well, that is the rule. I don't know how yours can still be active..."

"Is Paul still the manager?" I inquired remembering the tall, skinny guy who led our IT department. "I should contact him" I said. "Can you give me his number?"

"Do you really think that you should be meddling into this? The truth will come out. Mark is unto it."

"Mark came to my place two hours ago to tell me all my work with you is suspended. He did not look like he was going to do anymore research. He found his guilty person – me" I explained.

"I just don't know what to think."

"Just give me the Paul's number and I will call him to see what was happening"

I listened to Anna dictate the phone number writing it down on the closest piece of paper. It was time that I finally used all my research and investigation skills acquired through hours of CSI: Las Vegas watching!

It took several calls for Paul to answer the phone. "Hi, I am looking for Paul" I said calmly after hearing his voice.

"It's Paul" he said.

"Oh, hi Paul. This is Claire Addams. I used to work..."

"I know who you are Claire" he interrupted. "And I don't know why you called, but I am in a hurry".

And just like that Paul hung up on me. I redialed his number. Phone rang and rang, but he did not reply. I redialed again, with the same results. Paul was avoiding me. I could feel the anger rising inside me.

I was hoping that talking to Paul would clear things up, but now that he wasn't even answering my calls, I had no idea what to do next. I sat at the desk and tried to regroup myself.

The bell on the door startled me. With recent experience in mind, I approached the doors slowly.

"How is it?" I yelled before looking through the spy glass.

He did not need to answer. A very familiar face was standing outside my front door.

"What the f*ck are you doing here James?"
