The sunlight hurt my eyes as I walked out the door. I've actually only been out of the orphanage 2 times, when I was younger. Some kids have been outside many times, but some kids have been stuck inside the orphanage morning and night. The orphanage has few windows, so as not to risk children breaking out of the windows. The orphanage has a lot of things that ordinary people could not imagine life without. Modern technology, the ability to go outside, etc... I heard the door shut behind me, and then I heard Amy ask the one thousand dollar question,

"So... Who exactly are you?"

"You can call me Steve, said the guy with yellow hair.

"And you can call me Natasha" said the woman with the red hair.

"Hello" we both said at the same time. Amy glared at me.

"I'm Amy" said Amy with a big smile to go along.

"Y/N." I said, but my eyes were focused on the fancy looking car in front of us. It was very long with many windows along the side. I don't think  I have ever seen a car like it. The man, Steve, opened the door, and told us to get in. Amy went in first and I followed her. The man climbed in next and then the woman. Once we were all seated, the car started moving. I have never been in a car before, I know, sounds crazy, it was scary, I was holding onto the seatbelt they told me to put on. I looked over at Amy, and she was doing the same thing.

"So how old are both of you?" Steve asked. Amy was first to answer as usual.

"I am 12, and she." She pointed to me "Is 12 too."

"Amy, I can speak for myself" I said, and rolled my eyes. Amy prides herself on knowing more things than I do. Mistress taught her to read at an early age, and she gave her books full of useful information. I learned to read when I was 8, which is considered late in the orphanage. Not surprising though, since Mistress hated me. Steve then turned to the woman, Natasha, and they began whispering quietly together. I then leaned over and whispered to Amy,

"You going to try to win them over by being and, Ms. Cute?" She glared at me, then whispered in return,

"I'll make them hate you"

"You know, that's not harsh or anything." I said. I wasn't surprised though. Of course she would want to try to make then hate me.

"I wonder where they live." I said

"Yeah well we will find out when we get there."

"I know you're curious too, so stop acting like you're not."

"I, unlike you, will not ask them too many questions, because it is impolite." Amy said with a sniff.

I just stared at her." I haven't asked them a single question yet. I'm just curious." Amy huffed and looked out the window.

"Oh my god." I said "It is so hard to talk to you."

"Whatever." I heard her say to the window. I rolled my eyes.

I looked at my hands and then looked up and caught the woman, Natasha, staring at me with a funny look. She looked away when I caught her eye. Then I looked at the man and I caught him looking away. 'What's going on here?' I thought. Have they never seen a person from an orphanage before? Just then the car pulled to a stop, and we all got out in front of the biggest building I think I've ever seen. Natasha turned to us and said,

"You can leave your stuff here. We will have someone come get it."

I nodded and Amy said "Of course."

We all walked in the front door, and was met by a man dressed up nicely. "Everyone's upstairs, I'm headed out I'll be back soon." He said.

"Ok" they both replied.

We started walking again, and I caught up to Steve and asked him, "Do you live here?" I could feel Amy glaring at me from behind, but I didn't care.

"We are living here for now. This is Stark's home." I nodded even though I didn't  know who Stark is. We got in an elevator and went up 13 floors, and then we got out and walked down a hallway to a door. Natasha opened the door and someone inside said:  "They're back!"
