Chapter 14 - The Beginning

"You good?"
I was greeted by Wanda who had been leaning against the frame of the door and had passed to let me in.

"Yeah" I stalked passed her earning myself a confused glare.

I think out of all the guardians, well..Avengers, Bruce is my favorite. Just for the record.

As I got into the room. Everyone stared at me. "Take a picture. It lasts longer." I was sick of all of those eyes on me.

"Y/N, did Lyric tell you anything?" Tony asked

"Uh yeah... what's this mission you all can't do?" Natasha rolled her eyes at me and walked towards the front of the room.

"Pretty much, you and Lyric are the only people who will be safe on Asgard and be able to fit in. Since you guys aren't originally from here you will be able to fit in more. I'm just worried about....." she trailed off and stole a glance at Nick. And just like that the tension and awkward became even more evident in the room.

I looked between Natasha and Nick. Something was wrong.
"You're worried about...?"

"Nothing nothing." Natasha quickly denied it. She then quietly walked to the back of the room and exited out the door.

I stole a glance between Nick and the door. "So that's just it then you sit there and are worried about us for unknown reasons that could kill us?! But you won't tell us because we are younger than you and can't 'handle' it? Look here I can't just sit here and watch you make decisions for me. Stop its annoying."

"There are details that I am liable to give you and there are details that I am not liable to give you." Nick said with a sigh. "The only information that you need to know is that you will be going to this planet. You will need to find the Asgardians and bring them back to their home and in return, bringing the others back. However, it will not be easy. There are people always watching you no matter who you are or where you are. Their military is vast but you will also not be doing this alone we just need you to find ways to get into the castle. Secret tunnels anything you can lay your eyes on. Do not let them take advantage of you because if they do, you are better off dead. We will do a check in every night and we are planning to bring you back when we find something. So do your job quickly and you get out of here quickly. Do it slowly and you might be one minute closer to your death. That's all there is to it."

"That's morbid." I raised an eyebrow and shifted my position. "When are we leaving?"

"Tonight. 8 sharp." Nick proceeded to leave the room after this statement leaving a rather awkward silence. Amy was the first to make a noice. She started laughing.

"Hahaaa you two are both so dead." She fell on the floor laughing. I rolled my eyes and stepped over her to exit the room.

It seems like I found out about this only hours ago and here I am standing in this desert next to the Avengers waiting to take a bifrost to another planet.

"So are we just going to stroll into Asgard? From Earth? That's a little bit suspicious...." Lyric was obviously very nervous. After the tear filled dinner he had with pepper and Tony he was emotionally dead.

"No, we are going to bring you to Jotunheim. You will be going to Asgard from there. Most likely it might feel like one long journey though. The people on the other end will only see you coming from Jotunheim though." Nick said in a serious voice. "Lyric and Y/N. I wish you all the best. Good luck."

With that final word. All of the Avengers took a step back towards the car. I nodded at Lyric and looked up at the sky.
