Rainbow was everywhere. All around me. I was moving at a sick rate, and I recognized the same feeling from when Lyric and I had come to this world. Just as soon as it started, I felt my feet touch the ground and the Bifrost disappeared. Endre was on my left and keeling over while panting."I have to say" he managed to get out in quick breaths, "Running a couple miles and then traveling on the Bifrost is not something I ever want to do again. Ever." He struggled to his feet while I took in our surroundings. We were in a place that was cold and barren. There wasn't much diversity just flat plains. Also it was snowing and very very very cold. I realized very soon that we both didn't have a great choice of clothing.
"Ummm so are we going to freeze to death or what's the deal here?" I looked down at Endre who was still on the ground now taking deep breaths.
"It's close we don't have to go far."
"Okaaaay." I took his arm and aggressively stood him up. "We can't exactly just sit and wait for you to recover because who knows how long that will take." At this Endre took a moment to glare at me.
"Follow me." he said with a sarcastic smile.
"After you." I was relieved we were finally leaving because just sitting in the open was making me nervous. I rubbed my shoulder to keep some warmth in them and looked around. "So exactly where are we?"
"It's called Jotunheim. Not a lot of people come here anymore. The frost giants are at Asgard as well as the elves from Svartalfheim."
"Wait... the frost giants are on Asgard?! I didn't see any though."
"They are most likely on the other side of Asgard in their own congregation. Frost giants aren't know for their ability to make new friends" Endre chuckled at his own words.
"So is there anything that lives here anymore?" I really hoped not because how easy would that be. Waltzing into Jotunheim to question Asgardians about how to fix this problem because we can't seem to do it on our own.
"Well, no exactly"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you know how when the queen took all her people to Svartalfheim they left some people behind?" I nodded "Well thats pretty much the same thing in this case. Most likely we won't run into someone but if we do then we are definitely not in a position to be fighting."
"Cheerful" I muttered under my breath.
We continued to walk the whole stretch of land. I was growing incredibly cold and our destination seemed to be nowhere in sight. We probably walked about 15 minutes when we finally came to fairly large boulder hidden by snow that was amongst rubble and rocks. At this point I was freezing but there wasn't anything I could do about it.
"Ok, this is where I came last time. It wasn't hard to get to them which I hope is still the case. With everything going on though, the queen may have sent more guards, or the frost giants may have sent members of their whole clan back to this place". This he whispered to me in a hushed tone as if someone may have been listening.
"Ok well let's figure this out soon because I am starting to not be able to feel my feet". I was tired, cold, and a pretty stressed out over this whole situation.
Endre nodded and began creeping forward to the boulder. As we got closer I could tell that there was a faint outline around the boulder that, to anyone that didn't know it was there, would be invisible. We finally made it up to the very center of the boulder. I was looking around nervously as Endre kept examining the boulder. Who knows what could be watching us right now. Finally, Endre placed a hand in the center of the boulder and whispered something in a language I didn't recognize.
