"Do you need a place to stay?" The man abruptly spoke, turning his body around and toward yours.

Your eyes widened as you quickly nodded your head in response.

"Yes, but if you gave me back my money I could just pay for a-"

"This isn't your money, you stupid kid!" He yelled, stomping down his foot.

You sighed and crossed your arms in aggravation.

"You're going to give it back to that boy, right?" You asked disappointingly. You parents always taught you to steal, or in this case, keep the money. You were never thought to not receive or to give back, it was always deeply frowned upon.

"Yes. But if you need a place to stay, we have an empty bedroom upstairs. If you work for us a few days a week, we can arrange a permanent sleeping arrangement for you." He smiled.

You were extremely taken aback by the mans statement. Was this guy nice or mean? What the heck? You quickly nodded your head and forced yourself to plaster on a smile.

"Are you serious? Thank you so much old ma-" You paused quickly, realizing that wasn't the best name to call the man offering you a permanent sleeping arrangement. "I mean-ur- sir!" You quickly bowed, continuing to smile.

"Then lets get going." He smiled, looking back at the almost abandoned ramen stand. "Akame! Lets go!"

Momentarily, the same woman that once stood in the stand came running out from the back door.

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" She yelled, arriving beside you almost instantly. "I'm sorry that I took so long, I just had to lock up the shop."

She silently glanced over at you and shot you a smile.

"I'm Akame, Teuchi's daughter." She said pointing to the old man that offered you a home and job a few moments ago.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Akame." You smiled. "I'm [Name]."

Her eyes instantly widened at the sound of your name.

"Did you just say your name is [Name]?" She questioned almost fearfully.

You gently nodded your head as you locked your eyes with hers. You could immediately tell something was wrong. Was it something you said? But all you told her was your name...

"Yes, why do you look so scared-"

"Are you an Uchiha, [Name]?" Akame asked, looking like she wasn't sure if she even wanted to hear the answer.

"I-" You began, a bit nervous.

"Akame! Don't pester our new employee!" Teuchi yelled, causing Akame to quickly jolt up and shamefully face away from you.

"Teuchi-" You tried to speak, wanting to know Akame's reason for asking about your clan.

Teuchi quickly sighed and placed his hand on your shoulder.

"Don't worry about her. She's a good daughter and friend, she just gets a bit too curious at times."

You smiled and complied, following the two into their home. Teuchi held the door open for both you and Akame.

"Akame, would you show [Name] to her room?" He asked politely.

"Of course." She bowed, motioning you to follow her into a room nearby the exit.

As you entered the room, you saw a calm shade of green lining the walls, carefully trimmed with wood on all ends. You carefully took off your shoes before stepping on the carpet and sighed in relief.

"It's beautiful, thank you Akame. Please thank your father for letting me stay here as well." You smiled joyfully. You haven't been this happy since- actually, I don't think you've ever been this happy. Another thing to blame your father for.

"You are [Name] Uchiha, aren't you?" She questioned almost bitterly.

Your eyes broadened as you apprehended the girls words in your mind. You lightly bobbed your head as you thought to yourself is silence.

"Why are you asking me this, Akame?" You interrogated with a harsh look in your eyes.

"Shikamaru, a chunin came by earlier looking for you. You just missed him too. Oh, and an older couple came in as well saying that their daughter had runaway..."She spoke, looking up at you. "I assume you ran away from Shikamaru and your parents. Right?"

"You've got that right." You scowled and stared at the ground. There's no way that her father came looking for you himself, I bet it was all your moms idea. "But I could care less."

"[Name]," Akame spoke with a comforting smile. "I know it's none of my business, but I think you should talk to them. At least let them know that you're okay."

You let out a soft chuckle.

"Not until I get strong enough to fight my father." You scoffed. "Do you know anyone who's nice enough to let me train with them around here?"

Akame smiled as she passed you a few folded white towels.

"Remember that boy that gave my father all that money for you?" She questioned. "That was Naruto. He's training all the time to become stronger. Maybe he'd let you tag along with him."

"Oh."

"And I won't tell about your little mishap with Shikamaru to my father. I won't tell anyone you're staying here."

"Thank you, Akame." You smiled gracefully.

Akame quietly nodded her head and opened the door, exiting the room.

"Wait!" You yelled, jumping out of your bed and toward Akame.

She quickly turned around in confusion.

"Yes?" Akame asked.

"Do you-" You paused, trying to decide if you should ask the girl or not. "Do you know a Sasuke Uchiha?"

Akame's sweet smile quickly flipped around into a scowl.

"Yes, we all know him." She spoke quietly. "He's a rogue ninja now a days. He was really close with Naruto, if you want to know more, you should talk to Naruto about him. I bet he could help you out if that's what you need."

You quietly sighed as you watched Akame smile and leave the room. So that man you met is a runaway ninja? Kinda like you from your family... He seemed to really care about the Uchiha name. I wonder if he'd help you... But for now, you should focus on finding Naruto. He's the only one who can help you right now. That and staying under the radar.
