Chapter 21 ~ Sunrise at the Top

Hikari,

Meet me in the Amusement park in Nimbasa city. I have something I need to talk to you about.

I turned my head to took at Yellow still sleeping. I slipped out for 30 minutes she wouldn't notice. I had to see what my brother wanted. Maybe he wanted to start traveling with me. I tiptoed my way to the bathroom to wash my face and grabbed my pokemon before cracking the door open. Not wanting to go alone I turned back to walk Yellow up. When I reached her side she mumbled something that sound like red the smiled and turned over on her side. I decided to let her enjoy her dream and softly closed the door behind me. I jogged down the hall and almost ran right into someone walking down the hall. He had a book tucked under his arm.

"Watch where you going." The redhead said.

"Silver." I said know that attitude anywhere.

"Hikari," Silver sighed. "What are you doing out so late?"He sounded exasperated, as if I was a child that wouldn't listen. I ignored his condescending tone and urgently pulled the message out from the pocket of my jacket.

"Look at the note I just got." I showed him the note. His expression didn't change. "I was just going to the amusement park to meet with Natural. Would you come with me?" Silver didn't answer; he just stared at the message. He looked up at me and brushed some of his red hair away from his face.

"You know it's a trap right." I couldn't understand what he was saying.

"What do you mean Silver?" Silver rolled his eyes and I bristled with a slight prick of anger.

"What I mean is, you don't know that it was really N that sent it am I correct."

"Well yes. But-"

"It only logical that it's from your father, who using your trust in your brother to draw you out. Believe me I've seen it before." I just stared at him.

"How could you think that. It's definitely my brother."

"Your an idiot if you don't see-"

"Fine don't come with me then. If you didn't want to come you could have just said so."

"Hikari it not that-" I strowed angrily away from Silver and right out through the lobby door. I didn't even notice the figure shrouded in darkness leaning outside the pokemon centre's watching me run to the amusement park's entrance.

~~~~~~~ 3 Hours Later ~~~~~~~

I stood there in the moonlight, looking up at the Ferris wheel's bright lights. They sparkled in the night sky, each it own galaxy in a sky of many. My eyes drifted toward the building lights in the distance. A sigh unconsciously escaped my lips.

"I wonder if they're looking for me?" Guilt filled my heart as I imagined Yellow waking up to find me gone. Would she think I had abandoned her. I let out a short breath of air and had to resist the urge to stomp my foot like a child.

"I swear, if that brother of mine doesn't show up in two minutes, i'll-" I stumbled forward as a tall figure dressed in a long coat and wide brimmed hat collided squarely with my shoulder. The hat was pulled down low over his eyes and he spoke with a curt tone.

"Sorry miss." As quick as he appeared, he disappeared in the the thrum of people before I could accept his apology. The words rolled off my tongue anyways their meaning drifting upon the deaf ears of passersby.
