Chapter 15 ~ A Protection Charm Part 2

What's up all you wattpaders??? I have finally gotten into the groove of school, wait is that even a thing? Whatever, the point is that I have a new chapter to share with you all. I get to introduce a new "character" to you all in this chapter. I'm so excited! I dedicate this chapter to my fellow comrades in arms AKA those awesome gals on my Varsity and JV volleyball teams. I love you Minna! Now that thats over with on to my new chapter!

Hikari's Pov

I push the white button on the pokeball and out of the red beam of light appears a human figure of someone I had known all of the life that remember.

" I can't believe that you're here!" I yell tackling the small 9 year old boy with my body and wrapping him in a tight hug. The boy's hand were tucked into the pockets of the dark jeans he wore. He also had on black and red converse and a dark gray t-shirt with a pokeball in the center, a red vest draped over his shoulders. His hair was light brown and was moderately short while his eyes were a light shade of blue that had the smallest hint of mischief in their depths.

" Can't- breath! Hikari - let go- now!" The boy chokes out as I squeezed him tighter. I giggle happily and reluctant to let go. I felt like a giant weight had been lifted off of my shoulders, and I finally release him. He re-adjusts his clothing in a show of annoyance.

" Ren, what are you doing here!? I'm so glad to see you!" I squeal again quickly throwing my arms around him again. His face turns slightly pink at my sudden touch.

"What do you mean what am I doing here! I here to protect you from your father lady Hikari. Just as N has asked me to do." Ren says crossing his arms over his chest and turning his head away so that I couldn't see his face. I grab N's letter off the kitchen table where Silver had deposited it. I plop back down on the bed my strength leaving me. I look over the letter and whisper to myself. * So Ren is your protection charm.* I smile faintly down at the letter, finally understanding. Ren also had plopped himself down on the ground sitting cross legged like a 1st grader. I continue to read the letter over and over and finally he tugs on the hem of my shirt.

" Hikari, you want to tell me who are those people?" He asks me and I finally remember the other people sitting shocked around the dining table.

" These are the people who saved me from my father." I say simple, not knowing another way to describe them. I look up sheepishly at their starstruck faces. * Whats the matter with them?* I ask myself when Silver finally speaks up.

" What the Hell just happened?" He questions. Red and Yellow both answer him in the most unhelpful way possible.

" I don't know."

" Me either."

I glance down at Ren who was sitting at my feet at the same time he gazes up at me with the same expression conved on his face. " What are you talking about?" We both ask at the same time.

" Humm lets see." Red says sarcastically. " First off, a human just appeared out of a pokeball, and I'm pretty sure they're not supposed to do that. Second, he's a little kid-" " I'm not a kid!" Ren interjects angrily. " Whatever. Third, Why are you not fazed at all!?!?" Red yelled, his expression not changed by Ren's comment. I blink processing the information.

" You're not talking about Ren are you?" I as, pointing at the boy sitting at my feet.

" Duh, even an idiot like you should be able to figure that out." Silver retorts in place of Red, seeming more grumpy than usual. Ouch that kind of stung. I puff out my cheeks out childishly.

" Hey, don't speak to Lady Hikari that way!" Ren grows angry but I hold him in place with a glare, preventing him from pouncing on Silver. He crosses his arms across his chest and pouts where he was sitting.

" I just wanted to be useful." He mutter almost inaudibly. I sigh heavily at his comment.

" Ren isn't human." I say matter of factly. They all look at me like I'm crazy. I roll my eyes slightly and place my hand gently on the top of Ren's head. " Ren, could you please, just for a second?" I ask him. Ren comes out of his pout and stands up slowly sighing in the process. He still had a childish look on his face, one that a 5 year old would give to their parents when they didn't want to do something. Without missing a beat the whole room is suddenly filled with a bright light. Once the light cleared standing in the place of Ren was a mischievous fox like pokemon. The pokemon jumps up on the bed and jumps into it's resting spot on my shoulder, licking my face in the process.

" Everyone meet Ren. My brother's Zorua." I say while fondly scratching his head. All I got was various looks of astonishment. " Ren and I have played together ever since I was 5. Ren has a special ability to turn itself into other pokemon and into a human." I pause as Ren jumps from my shoulder and onto my head. I reach up and grab him, placing him on my lap. " He likes to stay in his human form most of the time, and it can sometimes throw people off." Ren nods in agreement at my statement. Yellow was the first to speak.

" I understand now. It's nice to meet you Ren." She said sweetly. Ren glances cooly at her from his position on my lap. I roll my eyes at his reaction. Typical Ren, always trying to act cool. I think back to our childhood days together with N.

" To bad you didn't have him when you were battling that gym leader, you might of won." Silver says irritably. I could tell he was purposefully teasing me.

I suddenly remember something important and stand up abruptly my arms wrapped around Ren and holding him close to my chest.

" Oh my god! Cilan!" I yell unexpectedly. " I have to go see him and apologize before he gets to worried about me!" I set Ren down on the bed and run over to the kitchen counter and pull my Team Plasma jacket out of my backpack. Ren jumps down from the bed and changes back into his human form.

" Thanks for reminding me Silver, your the best!" I give Silver a little kiss on the cheek before I roughly jerk my arms through the sleeves and am out the door and jogging down the hallway.

Red's Pov

Hikari was out the door before I could tell her that their was no need to rush, I'd already told Cilan that she was back. The human Ren had followed her out into the hallway and had closed the door on his way out. The room was silent except for the steady sound of our breathing. I caught a glimpse of SIlver expression and notice the small blush starting to color his cheeks, but he took care to hid it. The silence continued till it was broken by a loud cough. It was silver, and He immediately stood up from the small table and heads to the door the red in his cheeks becoming more pronounced.

" Where are you going?" Yellow asks inquisitively. Silver hand stopped short of the door knob.

" I'm going to bed, I was up all night, then got dragged here by you two. I got better things to do then to watch that idiot." He opened the door walked down the hall, in the opposite direction from his room.

" Ya, you're going to bed, good luck with that. You can hide anything from me." I laugh, earning a look of confusion from Yellow.

" Can't hide what?"

" Nevermind Yellow, Silver just a little sick. It's nothing to worry about."

Sorry that this chapter is so short. chapters 14 and 15 were supposed to be one chapter, but 14 was running so long that I decided to split the chapter in 2. gold star to Linkreader001 for guessing the right pokemon! I wonder what's going to happen next time???? you'll have to keep reading to find out... *evil laugh* I'll see you all ASAP for chapter 16 ~ Singles, Doubles, Trios!
