Firefly

Fireflies dance in the starlight,

Rain slips solemly from the sky,

And Mothers tuck their children into warm beds.

Nature sleeps, but she is awake.

Back up against a tree,

With a flower in her hand,

Her heart and soul soar with the fireflies.

Soars with the hope that her prince will come,

Her hero will return to love her;

Protect her and care like the others should have.

Across the land,

A mighty stallion charges over a landscape of

Fear and Battle and Blood.

A storm follows, threatening and gaining.

An army of Nature with a cruel sense of humor,

It's goal set on

Breaking two fragile hearts.

Thunder does not sway his heartstrings,

Which tug him towards the one he loves.

Singing with the fireflies,

He rides.

Fifty lands cannot defy love.

It lasts till Nature's clock stops ticking

Bone and flesh may wither and die,

But for an eternity their souls

Dance with the fireflies

In a heaven of Daydream
