One day, I hope to feel.
With starlight, reforge my nerves of steel.
Feel pride and invincibility settle in with a smirk,
Feel the satisfaction at the end of hard work.
I want power to surge inside my dry, shriveled veins,
To release great beasts and fight for fair dames.
I want glory, I want honor, I want to see the world,
To watch rightful, brazen banners unfurled.
I want horrible, terrifying revolution,
To bring forth, by my command, the end of execution.
I want love, pure and worth fighting for,
Somebody to hold and blindly adore.
The simple complication of true friendship,
The shock and horror when the universe is flipped.
I want to feel important,
I want the adrenaline of battle,
I want the back of a mighty creature as my saddle.
I need validation,
I long for a spark to fuel determination.
And here at home, I am driven to insanity,
By the reality that those feelings are fantasy.
