high in the treetops a swallow sings,
she sings me a list of my favorite things:
of colors, and rings, and romeo and juliet,
music, old books, and a caramine sunset.
lipstick, laughing, and pink flamingos,
lunchtime, pens, and grand pianos.
buttons, spanish, and chemistry,
howl's moving castle and greek mythology.
Blue jeans and loud voices, a shiny watch,
munchkins from dunkin donuts and sticky butterscotch.
earbuds and headphones,
buffalos in yellowstone,
labradors, shoelaces, tater tots,
autumn leaves and michael scott-
the swallow finishes sweetly: and last but not least,
is golden girl belle and her beautiful beast.
