AU where Caitlin talks to Barry instead of Iris in the season two finale, and he doesn't go back in time.
Caitlin doesn't decide to confess her love and purely consoles him about all of the people he's lost in his life, and gives him tips on how to deal with everything. Caitlin talks to him about losing Ronnie multiple times, losing Jay, and losing her boss that she trusted for a long time. She points out that it's important to cherish the moments that they've had with their loved ones, instead of wondering what would happen if they were still alive. Both of them just sit on the porch crying for a long time, and then Barry realizes that she's right. Their teary eyes meet, and they kiss.
